Prince Harry Clashes With Meghan Markle Over This Momentous Decision

For the majority of big decisions, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have moved in unison.

However, it has been revealed that this year, the Montecito couple has been hit with a sticking point in their romance, and it is unclear how they will resolve it.

It seems that Prince Harry is hoping for a return to his country and British traditions for the Christmas holiday. While it might be a minor detail for Markle, Prince Harry sees it as a momentous and joyful trip.

Prince Harry has spent the last four Christmases away from his native country and wants to switch things around.

The Duke of Sussex is not thinking about reuniting with King Charles III, Prince William, or Kate Middleton for the holiday.

However, the former soldier’s hopes to enjoy some British Christmas traditions such as a pantomime with his family, Yorkshire puddings, teaching Archie and Lilibet about the ways of Father Christmas, and of course the King‘s speech — have been dashed because of Meghan Markle.

Markle has banned herself from ever returning to England unless there is a family emergency; therefore, it is highly unlikely that she will want to travel to London for the year-end festivities.

Royal author and expert Louella Alderson revealed that it is more than natural for Prince Harry to want to fly home.

She told The Mirror: “It’s understandable that there may be some tension between Harry and Meghan over their Christmas plans. They have spent the past three Christmases away from Britain, so it’s possible that Harry may feel a sense of nostalgia and want to return to his home country for the holiday. It would be natural for him to want to show his children the traditions and customs of his country and his upbringing as they have predominantly grown up in America their whole life.”

Alderson went on to say that if Meghan Markle keeps striking Prince Harry down, it will create issues, including resentment, in their relationship.

She told the media outlet: “Harry has given up a lot for Meghan and has appeared to put Meghan’s needs and desires above his own at times, so it’s understandable that he may feel a sense of resentment if she is not willing to do the same for him. If they don’t spend Christmas in the UK this year, then Meghan should be open to the possibility of spending future holidays in the UK.”

Maybe in a few years, when the drama with the British royals wears down, Markle might consider that London Christmas trip, but for this year, she will most likely tell Prince Harry the answer is no.
