If the duo makes it down the aisle, it will be a star-studded event with Swift’s army of celebrity friends and Kelce’s NFL pals.
However, by the looks of things, there is one famous friend who will not be at the grandiose affair. Do not expect to see Selena Gomez there.
This week, as the world was celebrating and dressing up as the power couple, Selena Gomez made it known via a source that she disapproves of what she has been witnessing.
A person close to the former child star told Page Six that she wants Swift and her new beau to slow down.
The source stated:”Selena thinks Taylor going to games and galavanting through New York immediately after just meeting Travis is something that is very unlike her.”
Selena Gomez has been questioning Taylor Swift’s decision because, in the past, she has been very private about her love life.
The phenomenal singer and songwriter dated British actor Joe Alwyn for six years, and there are no photos of them together online.
The pair never attended a red carpet, were never seen going on dates, and stayed out of each other’s careers.
The insider went on to say why Gomez finds Swift’s behavior odd and added: “Historically, Taylor’s always been super private about everything, and now with this [relationship], she’s so open about it that it’s just very odd for Selena.”
Gomez finds many of Swift’s latest moves alarming. According to the source, Gomez is shocked that her BFF was holding hands with the NFL star in public “in clear view of the paparazzi within less than a month of dating”
She also found it strange that Taylor Swift was seen hanging out with Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, in public after one meeting.
The source claims Gomez has declined Swift’s invitations to attend a few Chiefs games because she “didn’t want to be part of the media frenzy.”
The insider claimed: “Selena just doesn’t want to be part of the media frenzy because it’s really chaotic. It didn’t come from a malicious place, and it’s not that she doesn’t like them together. She’s just concerned about the way it’s being navigated.”The source added that despite Selena Gomez’s cautious opinion on the relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce – the best friends are not feuding.
The source said: ” Gomez and Swift are not in a fight, as evidenced by their recent sushi outing in West Hollywood, Calif., earlier this month.”
The insider revealed that there are other friends who have concerns, noting that the Haim sisters “think this way as well.”
The insider shared: “That’s why the people she normally has these amazing relationships with weren’t [at Swift’s girls’ night out with Blake Lively, Brittany Mahomes, and Sophie Turner].”
