It is King Charles III‘s birthday party, and he will celebrate however he wants to. Pushing it a step further, His Majesty can invite or disinvite whomever he wants.

When King Charles turns 75, he will have a private dinner with a few people he cherishes. It has been established that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their young children, Archie and Lilibet, will not be present.

It was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle snubbed the King, who asked them to join him for the gathering. The pair corrected the story with an official statement, saying King Charles never reached out with an invitation.

With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s situation settled, many royal watchers have been wondering who else will not be attending the affair.

It appears that Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children might not be in attendance at the royal birthday dinner.

Many noticed that Prince William and Kate Middleton were not present for the King’s big speech at the opening of the parliament.

It seems that Prince William and his wife are forging their own path and keeping a slight distance from His Majesty so as not to outshine him.

According to The Daily Mail, King Charles and Queen Camilla enjoy being apart; it works for them, and therefore no one would be surprised if she too skipped the gathering.

It appears that King Charles’s siblings might be doing other things on his milestone birthday.

The site reported that there would be only friends of King Charles at the event and added: “Much has been made this week of whether his younger son has been formally invited to his private birthday celebration next Tuesday. In fact, he has not. But I can reveal the event is just a small, intimate dinner in London for close friends in any case. Hardly any family members will be present, in line with the King’s diktat that he just wants it to be an average day.”

The media outlet revealed that King Charles does not hate Prince Harry, but the truth of the matter is that he is not in a rush to heal the hurt he is feeling because of his son.

A source told the online publication: “There’s a lot of hurt on both sides, but time is a healer. For now, it is baby steps forward,’ said one informed observer. ‘It’s very sad His Majesty doesn’t get to see his son or his grandchildren, but there’s no rush to patch things up.’ For now, there’ll be just enough time on Tuesday for His Majesty to raise a glass of English sparkling wine (organic, no doubt) before those red boxes beckon him once again.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have to focus on their own path.
