Kate Middleton was not present because she had to support Prince George who is preparing for some big tests to enter Eton College.
However, it was speculated that Prince William traveled solo because he wanted to make his mark as a renowned statesman. Prince William no longer wants his wife, dress, hair, or tiara to take attention away from this important effort.
The Prince of Wales delivered a grandiose speech in which he apologized for his wife.
He told the attendees at the United for Wildlife Global Summit: “I’m delighted to be back in Singapore. It has been 11 years since Catherine and I enjoyed a memorable visit here on behalf of my late Grandmother in her Diamond Jubilee Year. And I should mention that Catherine is very sorry she can’t be here. She is helping George through his first set of major exams.”
However, some royal watchers say he should stop apologizing for his spouse’s absence because his secret is out. Prince William does better without his wife.
According to one commentator, Prince William shines brighter and is happier and more at ease when Middleton is not present.
Body language expert Darren Stanton said that Prince William showed his confidence by moving away from the many self-reassuring gestures that he, his brother, Prince Harry, and his father, King Charles III, are known for.
The professional stated: “William and Harry both inherited self-reassurance gestures, including touching their shoulder, cufflinks, or sticking their hand in their jacket, from their father.”
Stanton went on to share: “We didn’t see any of these gestures during his first days in Singapore, which tells me that the Prince has become much more confident in his engagements and himself as a person.”
The expert revealed that Prince William displays genuine happiness when his wife is not by his side because she has a habit of capturing the light when she is there.
Prince William was spotted meddling with a large group of celebrities — he appeared happy and at ease with Cate Blanchett, Donnie Yen, Lana Condor, and Nomzano Mbatha.
He claimed: “[William] is confident enough to carry himself on his own, and he’s not at a loss when Kate isn’t there. When William and Kate are together, he often lets her take center stage. However, you can tell he is genuinely happy to be at the event by himself. It’s a very authentic display from William.”
Prince William has revealed in the past that he does not like to take part in engagements with Kate Middleton because the media always crops him out of the photos and puts his spouse on the front page.
When he is King, he will have to stand alone, it seems that he is getting used to that role.
