Actress Sofia Vergara wants to know if a woman can age peacefully in Hollywood. The former Modern Family star also wonders why she is constantly being attacked by depressed and mean people for her changing looks.
In a new interview, the businesswoman revealed that she is fed up and wants to pass a message along to her jealous critics.
Sitting down with Glamour, Sofia Vergara explained that despite her efforts, she sometimes falls into temptation — she reads the mean and cruel comments that are posted about her on social media.
The talented actress went on to say the remarks are often about her physical appearance. Many social media users accuse her of having had plastic surgery because her face has been transformed.
She stated: “Sometimes I read messages – I avoid reading comments because for what? It’s usually people that are in a bad mood or depressed or jealous.”
The 51-year-old mother of one, who is promoting her new Toty sun care, went on to share some of the harsh remarks she has read about herself: “I read it and it’s like, ”She has done so much stuff to herself that she doesn’t even look like her anymore.” And I’m thinking, It’s not like you have plastic surgery to look worse than before, come on!”
Sofia Vergara slammed the online accusations by saying: “I always want to say, ‘No, it’s called aging! It’s called f***ing I’m old! That’s why I look different!”
The America’s Got Talent host spilled on her beauty secrets including Botox and microneedling.
She said: “I do little things here and there. I do a lot of micro-needling when I can. Also, I don’t have downtime. I wish I had downtime from work. I would do a lot more s***. But I do microneedling, little lasers for capillaries because I have rosacea.”
She continued: “I do Botox in my eyes and my neck regularly. Little things that I don’t need to sit in my house for a month because, unfortunately, I can’t. And products. I like products.”
Whether ageless or aging with grace, Sofia Vergara shared multiple photos of her Thanksgiving dinner, and she looked fabulous.
Sofia Vergara is set to deliver the performance of a lifetime playing Griselda Blanco, a Colombian drug lord who went by the name Cocaine Godmother, in the upcoming Netflix series Griselda.
