The last few years have not been easy for the British royal family, and Prince William is determined to protect the monarchy and keep the institution moving forward.
In order to succeed in his mission, the heir to the throne has to get rid of two very tenacious opponents. For Kate Middleton‘s husband, his two nemeses are a real problem for the future of the monarchy.
While the two men are very different, they bring shame to the institution through their personal scandals. Prince William keeps his uncle, Prince Andrew, and brother Prince Harry in a corner of his mind at all times. They live rent-free in The Prince of Wales‘s head.
The father of three hopes they will go away, but they are very resilient. Case in point, after dealing with the Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal, Prince Andrew wants to return to public service.
He has been moving the different pieces to get there, and King Charles III, who loathes tension and confrontation, is not even standing in his way.
The Duke of Cornwall is doing his best to warn everyone around him that getting Prince Andrew back into the royal fold is a really terrible idea. Prince William is doing this because he believes that his uncle can still do more damage to the institution.
In Omid Scobie‘s new book Endgame, a source within Kensington Palace reveals the heir to the throne’s true feelings on this situation.
The insider claimed: “William finds this quite extraordinary. The man is a ticking time bomb!” Interestingly, William is not the only one in the Royal Family who feels this way.
A second source stated: “One would be foolish to assume that Andrew won’t bring further shame. . . It’s his specialty. For his brother—the King, for Christ’s sake—to be blindly supporting him, despite the great risk he poses to this entire thing, is crazy.”
Prince Harry is the other royal who keeps the future King of England up at night. After the publication of the memoir Spare and the bombshell interviews, Prince William cut all ties with his brother.
The new revelations coming from Endgame will not make things better. Things are so bad that The Duke of Sussex is being told to forget about the Royal Family and move on with his life.
PR strategist Laura Perkes told The Mirror: “In any kind of feud or relationship breakdown, there comes a point where you have to accept the fact that what you want may not ever become a reality. It feels like Harry has finally accepted that fighting for what he wants isn’t getting him any closer to a resolution; therefore, he needs to let it go and learn to move forward.”
She continued: “Time is a great healer, so it may be that he needs to let the dust settle and focus on other aspects of his life. Over time, reconciliation may happen once all parties involved are ready to do so, but the relationship will never be the same again, and that’s something he needs to live with.”
For some observers, King Charles might forgive his youngest child. However, William is already planning to keep the feud going, at least until after his coronation.
Reports say that Prince and Meghan Markle will not be invited to this big day.
