Adele tends to keep her private life to herself. However, she is opening up a bit more in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The pop music sensation is going deep on her connection to her husband, sports agent Rich Paul.
According to reports, the 35-year-old diva married her beau last year in a secret wedding. Paul, 41, seems to have a unique relationship with her music. This is something that annoys her a bit in a funny kind of way.
She told the media outlet: “Richard does, it drives me insane. And it’s funny because, in my car with my driver, he knows if my song comes on, he has to turn the radio, just turn it off (laughs). I don’t like it at all.”
The mother of one continued: “Rich and I have always known everything about each other since the day we got together. It was very emotional reading about his mum because obviously, she’s not with us, so I’ve never met her. And she’s such a big part of Richard and the kids and the kids’ mom’s life and stuff like that. But I knew all about it. I’m getting a bit emotional (starts crying). It was hard for him to write that.”
Her statement mirrors what Paul said previously about their relationship. He told CBS Mornings earlier this year: “She’s been great, I think she would agree that we definitely helped each other. I’m in a good space, we’re in a good space. Happy. She’s superb. She’s been great for me. We’ve been great for each other.”
The “Easy on Me” artist has many reasons to be happy in addition to her husband. Her career is still blooming, and she is very happy to be a mother.
As she watches her friends face fertility issues, she is learning to appreciate more the fact that she has a child. She explained in the same interview with the entertainment publication: “I hadn’t seen him, my doctor, since my son was four days old. It was the most surreal experience of my life. As all my friends are trying for babies, I realized how it’s actually not as easy as everyone thinks to have a baby. I’d been thinking about it so much recently, I got his number the next day and I texted him. I never really understood how lucky you can be to have a baby.”
She also added: “And I didn’t understand the magnitude of him not only bringing my child safely into the world but keeping me safe in it. This will make me cry. It was so emotional. I had no idea he was there [at the show].”
Some observers are wondering if Adele and Rich Paul are already trying to have a child together. They see some hints in these comments.
