Taking to social media, Cardi B has confirmed that the sad rumors are true, she and her husband, rapper Offset, have split.
The New York femcee appeared on an Instagram Live session that took place on Sunday night and dropped another bombshell — she explained that she and the Migos star have been separated for a long time now.
While chatting with her followers, Cardi B confessed that she has been a single woman for a long period. She went on to say that she has been dealing with the painful situation privately because she had no idea how to announce it to the world.
The femcee stated: “I don’t care to find out because I’ve been single for a minute now. I just don’t know how to tell the world.”
She did not give any specific reasons or events that led to the split. However, she hinted that after almost 8 years together, two children, and countless cheating dramas — they grew apart.
She shared: “You know when you just outgrow relationships. I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings…I gotta put myself first.”
The mother of two concluded by saying that she is excited to start a new life without Offset and adding: “I want to start 2024 fresh, open. I’m curious about a new life and a new beginning. I’m excited.”
This is not the first time that Cardi B and Offset’s marriage has hit a wall. In September 2020, she announced to the world that the marriage was over and officially filed for divorce.
Offset traveled across the country to let Cardi B know that he was in love with her and was sorry for his sins.
Two months later, after Offset fought tooth and nail for his marriage, they reconciled and grew their family.
Cardi B explained at the time why she decided to save her marriage: “The main thing that I wanted him to stop and everything, he stopped and he changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me.”
However, this time around, it appears that both Offset and Cardi B are in the same mental space; it is time for them to go their separate ways because they have tried time and time again to make the romance work and have failed.
Cardi B and Offset have also unfollowed each other on social media. The split confirmation comes just hours after Offset was accused of cheating on Cardi B with Chrisean Rock.
Rapper Blueface, who had an abusive relationship with Chrisean Rock for the past three years, took to Twitter to say she slept with Offset who was quick to deny the allegations.
Offset said: “I ain’t never talk [to] or touch that lady. Real talk man, you need some help!”
Blueface hit back with: “If the truth tears you down you living a shameful life and I feel bad for you cuz I ain’t never gone lie on my d–k if I hit it ima admit it.”
Fans are wondering if Offset is telling the truth.
