There has been a mini-war raging on between Prince William and his spouse, Kate Middleton and in a discreet manner, King Charles III, has hinted who he is siding with.
For the past few months, their heir to the throne and Middleton have been going back and forth on where Prince George should go to school.
Prince William and The Firm want the young boy to attend Eton College. However, Kate Middleton, a Marlborough College alum, wants the second in the line of succession and Princess Charlotte to follow in her footsteps.
According to a recent report that surfaced via Life & Style, the heated argument is over, and Kate Middleton has won.
A royal insider stated: “After years of discussion and heated debates between William, Kate, and King Charles III, the family have made a choice. They’ve decided that he [George] and sister Charlotte will attend boarding school together.”
Middleton’s victory surprised many royal watchers and members of the British family.
The source went on to say: “While the royal family expected that George would follow in William’s footsteps, Kate got the final say: They’ll both be students at Marlborough. This way, George and Charlotte will have a few years where they’ll overlap at the same school. Kate has fond memories of her time there and feels it’s a better fit for her children.”
It is believed that King Charles backing off his daughter-in-law in this thorny debacle pushed her over the top.
According to a new report, His Majesty appreciates and approves of Kate Middleton’s parenting style and skills, and therefore supports her wishes when it comes to her decisions regarding his three grandchildren.
Speaking to OK!, royal expert Jennie Bond explained that King Charles is grateful that the “Princess’s normal background is benefiting Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.”
She went on to say: “I think Charles admires and appreciates the solid family network she has created for William. The King is devoted to his grandchildren, George, Charlotte, and Louis, and photographs show that he has an easy relationship with all three. I’m sure he is very proud of the way Kate is bringing them up.”
The BBC’s former royal correspondent added that the Princess of Wales is the “perfect person to help her children understand their roles in the Firm.”
She stated: “I think Kate is key to providing a balanced upbringing for her children, but particularly for a boy born to be King. She has learned what it means to be royal – the restrictions as well as the privileges.”
With King Charles’s help, it seems that Kate Middleton is reshaping the monarchy.
