With each passing year, Meghan Markle and her spouse, Prince Harry, are given a reason to regret their decision to sit down with Oprah Winfrey and reveal that members of the Royal Family made racist comments about their unborn son, Archie.
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle first made the revelations, it created chaos in the Royal Family and the monarchy.
The comment put the spotlight on Great Britain’s history of slavery and racism. It also led to a wild-goose chase and an intense investigation into the names of the royals who made the insensitive remarks.
The scandal forced Prince William to break cover and silence by saying that they are not much of a racist family.
The climax of the scandal came at the end of this year when the Dutch mistranslation of the book Endgame accidentally named King Charles and Kate Middleton as the racist culprits.
The scandal is set to be revived in 2024 in an even bigger way, probably in court. The former actress should get ready because the red carpet will be rolled out for her court appearance, where she will be asked to testify under oath about the names of the racist royals.
Oddly enough, it will not be the Royal Family that drags Markle to court but her sister, Samantha Markle.
Samantha Markle has sued The Duchess of Sussex for allegedly defaming her during that same Oprah Winfrey interview.
The older Markle claimed that she was “subject to worldwide hatred, contempt, and ridicule” because of the revelations made in the Oprah Winfrey interview and the Netflix documentary series.
According to Samantha Markle’s lawsuit, the former actress did not tell the truth when she claimed that “she grew up as an only child and that her half-sister only changed her name back to Markle after she began dating Prince Harry made Samantha look like a liar for profit and fame.”
Samantha Markle is asking for a large sum of money, for her pain and suffering because of that interview. Markle’s lawyer, Peter Ticktin claimed that the racism allegations “need to be explored,” and he is just the man for that job.
He told The Sun on Sunday: “The royal racist issue needs to be explored. There are reasons why she abandoned her family and turned on her family. This is a person who wants to be able to say horrible things and not really care if she destroyed the lives of people in her family. She doesn’t care if she destroys the monarchy.”
Ticktin is fighting for the Duke and Duchess to submit to a deposition under oath.
