Meghan Markle has said many things about the Royal Family — some silly, such as the tough time she had learned to properly bow to the late Queen Elizabeth II, and others more destructive, such as revealing that racist comments were made about her unborn baby.
However, through it all, Markle has tried to keep a great rapport with King Charles III. It has been confirmed by close friends of the former actress that she is in contact with His Majesty.
Many were shocked when an insider revealed to author Omid Scobie that Markle regularly sends pictures and videos of her two children, Archie and Lilibet, to His Majesty.
Markle, who is estranged from her father, is doing her best to maintain a loving relationship with His Majesty. Not only for her two children but because she is personally fond of The King.
Remember that King Charles was impressed with Markle when they first met. He participated in the wedding planning and walked her down the aisle.
However, so much has been said and done that King Charles has decided to take his love and affection somewhere else. Markle is learning that her little text messages and cute videos are not enough to maintain a relationship with His Majesty.
It has been confirmed that King Charles has become closer to his other daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton. King Charles now sees the future Queen as an indispensable part of the monarchy because of the manner she has handled many of the ongoing crises and tough times caused by Prince Harry and Markle.
In a piece published in PEOPLE Magazine, royal insiders explained how Kate Middleton has been able to forge an impressive bond with her father-in-law.
According to the person in the know, Middleton has captivated the King in a way that Prince William could not. Kate Middleton has shown time and time again that she is diplomatic and might be a better statesperson than her spouse.
The royal source explained: “She hugely enjoyed that evening and looked really at home. She knows the important role the family plays in building relationships globally on behalf of the U.K. It is clear that she and the King are quite close — in some respects closer to him than William.”
The insider went on to say: “She takes things seriously — and thank goodness for that. She’s very much seen as a player at the center of team Windsor.”
Kate Middleton has touched the King’s heart with her decision to try to broker peace between Prince Harry and Prince William. Middleton is also responsible for King Charles having a closer bond with his father.
The source familiar with the situation shared: “It’s only been recently that William has been closer [to Charles]—and Kate has acted as the honest broker in that.”
Kate Middleton taught The King a fine lesson in parenting — she placed her three children first and is a dedicated mother who will fight for them to have a normal childhood and schooling.
This new report will certainly throw cold water on Markle’s hopes of ever regaining a spot in The Monarch‘s heart or at his table.
