Many were baffled to discover that Meghan Markle is doing her best to keep in touch with King Charles III.
According to the book Endgame, the former actress sends videos and photos to His Majesty to be updated on his two grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.
Some found it odd that Markle and Prince Harry do not directly speak to King Charles, yet they have found a way to communicate with him via his aides and other staff members.
It has been revealed that Markle is hoping that one of her requests to His Majesty will be granted.
According to royal commentator and Fox News writer Neal Sean, Markle wants King Charles to recognize his grandson, Prince Archie, with a family portrait.
She is pushing for The King to take a photo with the little boy when he celebrates his 5th birthday on May 5th, which will also be the first anniversary of his coronation.
The journalist said: “But now that her eldest son Prince Archie reaches the old age of five that’s right 5 years old in May and remember this was his birthday last year that she couldn’t possibly attend the historical King’s coronation because she was too busy making a lemon drizzle cake. But now, according to a very well-placed source, she has her eye on the prize, and that is Prince Archie, pictured with his Majesty the King as a birthday portrait. It gets better, though—not just Prince Archie with his majesty the king, but Prince Archie pictured with his majesty the king, Meghan Markle.”
He went on to say that Markle is laying a trap for King Charles who could appear uncaring if he says no to the photo.
The host stated: “She feels that this will be a historical moment in the young Prince’s life and something that should be recognized by his grandfather and naturally beamed around the world. This makes it incredibly difficult for his Majesty the King because if he doesn’t acknowledge said birthday, the fifth birthday, then he looks cold and uncaring.”
Sean concluded by: “But you see, Megan plays a very crafty game; she wants to be part of the picture, and the kid could be very useful in making that happen. Prince Archie won’t know anything; he doesn’t know who really King Charles is, but as ever Meghan has an eye on the prize.”
Royal watchers do not believe that King Charles will bend to Markle’s demand because he declined to issue a statement when Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet‘s titles were announced by their parents.
King Charles has also refused to wish Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet happy birthdays publicly.
