It seems that Taylor Swift and her NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce, have picked a date for the engagement of the year.
Sources close to the power couple previously spoke to the media, saying that Kelce was ready to get down on one knee and pop the question in December.
However, that was too soon. Reports of the big moment happening for Valentine’s Day are also inaccurate. Insiders, who spoke to Page Six, have revealed that after a serious conversation, Swift has decided the best time to get engaged is in the summer.
The person in the know stated that the singer and football player would share that romantic moment on their first anniversary.
Again, it is a mutual decision taken by the pair. The source claimed: “Taylor and Travis discussed it, and there is a plan. They will get engaged on their first anniversary in July.”
The reason why they have decided to wait till July is because “they don’t want it to seem like it’s rushed insanity.”
Sources close to Swift and Kelce have revealed that the romance is moving in the right direction, and they are madly in love.
However, Swift made that revelation herself in her interview after she was named Time magazine Person of the Year.
Swift explained that they started dating after Kelce talked on his New Heights podcast in July about failing to give her his phone number at an Eras tour concert.
Swift stated: “We started hanging out right after that. So we had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other.”
The pop star added: “I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game. We would never be psychotic enough to launch a first date.”
She also revealed that she is delighted that the relationship is public because it means that they can go out and openly support each other instead of going to extremes to hide from fans and the media.
She stated: “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves; we’re showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don’t care… The opposite of that is that you have to put in an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Fans cannot wait for the big moment.
