Imagine poor King Charles III not even a year after his coronation as the new Monarch of England and he is being pushed out of the job he waited almost 74 years for.
Sure, some aristocrats, Britons, and royalists are eager to see Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, take over because they are ready for fresh blood, and want to see the century-old institution get a facelift.
There is also loud chatter that, because of King Charles’s recent health issues and hospitalization, some say he should seriously think about stepping down from the throne.
However, others claim that King Charles should abdicate for a rather sordid and bizarre reason that involves Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Indeed, some royal experts say that just for the sake of angering Prince Harry and awakening the sleeping jealous monster in Markle, King Charles should make Prince William and Kate Middleton, the new King and Queen of England.
Royal expert Peter Lloyd strangely appeared on GB News to say that King Charles should retire just to deliver slaps to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
He said: “I think that King Charles should abdicate, and I think that Prince William should step up and do the job, purely because I would love to see the reaction of Harry and Meghan. Imagine how delicious that would be to see them foaming at the mouth over William becoming King.”
He added that King Charles’s abdication would have Prince Harry and his wife “foaming at the mouth.” He stated: “Well, they’d be wild and jealous, Nina. Catherine would be Queen.”
Journalist and columnist Nina Myskow was quick to defend King Charles by reminding the audience and fellow commentators that he had “waited and prepared all of his life to take over the throne.”
She said: “So what? The King has waited this long to fulfill his role. He is not going to go easily. I mean, over his dead body, literally, he is not going to give up. And in terms of the engagements that he’s carried out, he carries out about three or four times the engagements that William does.”
In the same breath, she explained why Prince William is not ready to be King. She pointed to Kate Middleton’s recent hospitalization and Prince William’s decision to stay home with his children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, instead of multitasking like everyone else and playing the roles of father, heir, and representative of the monarchy like he is supposed to.
She said: “William is a bit of a shirker, I’ve always thought. An entitled shirker. He’s supposed to be, you know, taking the helm because Catherine’s in the hospital, and then he’s canceled all his engagements too. Honestly, that seems ridiculous to me. He should be doing his share.” Princess Kate’s announcement regarding her health confirmed she would be out of action until after Easter.”
The reasons for The King to give up the keys to the kingdom seem to be small and petty, but then again, sometimes the royals go to the extremes with their fights, revenge, and feelings — that is why there have been so many dramas, scandals, competitions, media leaks, past wild challenges, and duels.
