It will not surprise many to discover that Prince Harry‘s short 30-minute and dramatic visit with King Charles III did not go as planned.
The Duke of Sussex flew to England upon discovering that His Majesty was battling an unknown form of cancer.
First, the former soldier arrived late, which made The King furious because he had to briefly delay his helicopter flight to Sandringham.
Secondly, the visit was not planned, which left King Charles’s aides scrambling to protect his privacy. Staff and Royal Family members have been living in fear that Prince Harry might spill private details about the King’s illness.
However, the meet-up was complicated because of Queen Camilla who is figuratively blocking Prince Harry from entering the Palace walls to shield her husband’s heart.
Reports have surfaced claiming that King Charles and Queen Camilla did not want the face-to-face to take place because it would create panic and drama in the kingdom and across the globe.
Royal expert Neil Sean explained that His Majesty and Queen Camilla tried their best to play the illness down, but Prince Harry’s decision to rush to the airport and travel to London made many believe that the situation was dire.
The reporter explained: “But according to that very well-placed source, his majesty the King, while very moved by this very dramatic gesture of thousands of miles to come over here to visit him to see how he was in person, it wasn’t exactly necessary or indeed welcome, and the reason behind this is not being heartless kind.”
The FOX News contributor went on to share that the King and Queen fought hard not to alarm the world, but Prince Harry’s dramatic decision changed the headlines.
He said: “Obviously, we know His Majesty the King has very much a leaning open door to his, some might say, very misguided youngest son. But the bigger reason was that His Majesty the King, alongside Queen Camila, did not want to alarm people about how serious you know the severity of this potential diagnosis is. And you can understand that you know it was very, very much downplayed with his majesty appearing at church last Sunday alongside Queen Camilla waving to the crowds. He’s projected a very positive image, and rightly so. You know, this is a man who’s only 9 months into his reign.”
He concluded by: “Now Harry is quickly switching gears and dramatically jumping on a plane, thinking he must come and see his father, but he can’t really be bothered to come and spend time with him at his, of course, Platinum Jubilee or indeed his coronation.”
Royal expert Robert Jobson said, per The Sun, said that Queen Camilla certainly played a role in making the meeting short after the nasty revelations and name-calling in his bombshell book Spare.
He insinuated that she is the gatekeeper and added: “The Queen was with the King. Let’s be honest—he [Harry] wasn’t too complimentary about Queen Camilla in his book, Spare. He wasn’t very complimentary about her on Netflix. They don’t get on.”
Jobson continued: “Second, there’s not been a lot of contact. That brings its level of complexity and drama which he [the King] doesn’t need at the moment. The royals do stick to a pretty military clock. You have to get the helicopter pilot there, all these things. So his plans had to be changed. The one thing the King doesn’t like is changing his plans. He gave him long enough for a kiss and a hug and wished him all the best.”
He went on to say that Prince Harry made the situation worse for his father –it caused a media frenzy.
He claimed: “This is one of the reasons Charles probably didn’t want all the drama. The fact of Harry flying over does suggest that his condition may be a lot worse than it actually may well be. I think a lot of people will be sitting there thinking, ‘Oh, well, it must be bad, because he’s on the plane.”
Some believe that Queen Camilla has every reason to shield her husband or keep the meeting short because Prince Harry might have made the move to avoid getting dragged by the media by appearing at high-profile events without personally visiting his father.
