In 2009, Kanye West gave a scandalous and infamous speech in which he cut off Taylor Swift and claimed she did not deserve her MTV VMAs because it was Beyoncé‘s night.
In 2016, West teamed up with his then-wife, Kim Kardashian, to use the song “Famous” to drag and degrade Taylor Swift. In the track, West rapped: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous.”
He also used a naked mannequin of Swift in the music video for the track. Taylor Swift told the world she did not authorize West to insult her name and career.
Kardashian and her then-husband spent months bashing Swift, leaking audio to prove that she was a liar. Now it seems that in 2024, when she is more iconic and powerful than ever, Taylor Swift will have her payback.
While on the Paper Route podcast, football legend Brandon Marshall alleged Taylor Swift had Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Cesonri kicked out of the Super Bowl 2024, even though they had purchased VIP tickets.
Note that Marshall confused Taylor Swift with Katy Perry during the interview. He conveyed: “So Kanye West pulls up to the Super Bowl. Kanye West buys a ticket right in front of Katy Perry’s booth so anytime they are gonna be showing Katy Perry, Kanye’s face was going to be there — he had a mask on with his logo on the mask.”
The retired NFL player continued with: “So Taylor Swift gets pissed off [and] she makes a call or two — everybody is involved — [and] he gets kicked out the stadium. So then you got to go back to the beef, you know, of him cutting her off when she’s winning a Grammy and said Beyoncé should have won it.”
It seems that by the former player’s accounts, Taylor Swift is bitter about the past incidents, because he went on to add: “So that’s what he tried to do. He tried to sit in front of Taylor Swift yesterday.”
It seems no matter how big and successful Swift gets, West has been determined and hell-bent on taking her down. For some bizarre reason, West believes that when he got up on the MTV VMAs stage and stole the microphone from the “Cruel Summer” singer, he presented her to the world stage.
However, he is now discovering that, in reality, he just shunned an ugly spotlight on himself. In late 2023, Time named Taylor Swift “Person of the Year,” and she used her moment in the spotlight to take another jab at Kanye West, with the following statement: “Trash takes itself out every single time.”
While West is battling endless accusations of antisemitism and dealing with a crumbling billion-dollar company, Swift just had the biggest world tour ever, taking in billions; her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, just won the Super Bowl; and everyone predicts that she is getting engaged this summer.
