Prince William must be made aware that, more than ever, his every move matters. A few weeks ago, the media and royal watchers were monitoring Prince William’s plans and decisions to get the smallest updates or hints on King Charles III‘s health status.

Many concerned royalists wanted to know how often Prince William visited his father, who was battling cancer. They were also interested to see if he would bow out of important royal engagements to be with his ailing father.

Now Prince William is being monitored for clues about Kate Middleton‘s cancer battle. If Prince William is seen in public with his children and if he makes appearances to handle the monarchy’s business, it means that Middleton is slowly but surely progressing.

However, if Prince William is out of the public eye or if he abruptly cancels an event as he did for King Constantine‘s memorial, where he was scheduled to deliver a reading, the media sees it as a signal that the situation is complicated for his wife.

In late February, Prince William surprised the world when he suddenly canceled his appearance at the memorial service for his godfather, King Constantine of Greece.

It was later confirmed by The Daily Mail that Prince William took that decision due to Kate Middleton being diagnosed with cancer.

Many have become a bit concerned about Princess Kate after Prince William was penciled out of two major events set to take place in the upcoming weeks.

The Prince of Wales‘s absence from the D-Day 80th anniversary ceremony in France will certainly spill ink.

The heir, who has decided to wisely be by his wife’s side, will not replace his father, The King; instead, Queen Camilla will fly to France to meet with world leaders to mark the somber moment.

According to The Times: “Queen Camilla may step in for King Charles at the D-Day 80th anniversary ceremony in France if he is too ill to attend, the Mail on Sunday can reveal. Aides have not yet ruled out the possibility that the King, who has cancer, may be well enough to travel to Normandy on June 6. But preparations are being made for The Queen to go in his place.”

The outlet went on to say: “It would see the Queen front and center with US President Joe Biden, Canadian Premier Justin Trudeau, and French President Emmanuel Macron, who are likely to attend the official international ceremony on Omaha Beach in Normandy, which was targeted by Allied forces in the invasion of Nazi-occupied France. Prince William, who holds several forces roles and has completed seven-and-a-half years of full-time military service, will likely also participate in the commemorations, but no specific plans have been confirmed.”

Prince William will also skip the BAFTA Awards, set to take place on Sunday, April 28.

The Daily Mail claimed: “Prince William, on light duties for the time being, might be glad he can swerve next month’s Bafta Awards. Netflix’s dramatization of Windsor family life, The Crown, is up for eight awards.”

When Prince William needs privacy the most, the spotlight blinds him.
