In the upcoming days, Meghan Markle is advised by many to carefully make her moves regarding her husband, Prince Harry, and his deep ties to British soil.
In Prince Harry’s own words via Spare, in court, and during the Good Morning America interview, he lovingly spoke about the UK and his desire to reconnect with his roots.
The prince also confessed that he wants his two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to discover and learn to appreciate their British heritage.
Prince Harry has been given great opportunities to do just that. It has been confirmed by Page Six this week, that King Charles III has offered a sentimental olive branch to his son and daughter-in-law.
The cancer-stricken king would like to spend some quality time with his family in Scotland. The media outlet revealed that the Monarch, who has become emotional about his time on earth, is hoping for a reunion at Balmoral Castle.
A well-placed society source told the media outlet: “I can see Charles desperately wanting to see the children, and extending this olive branch to Meghan and Harry. He may decide that life is just too short. Balmoral is truly the perfect, restful place for a reunion. If he does issue an invitation, then Harry and Meghan should surely agree to the visit.”
Prince Harry is hoping to be in London in May for a spectacular event celebrating one of his biggest achievements — the Invictus Games.
There will be a service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 for the 10th anniversary of the games. All seems to indicate that Prince Harry would love to travel to his country with his family, but Markle is against it because she fears she will be a distraction.
She also believes it will be a PR nightmare for her and that she will not receive proper security. One royal expert has revealed that Prince Harry is emotionally connected to the country and Markle is not, so the best option is for them to sentimentally split on the matter, so the prince can travel alone.
Talking to Sky News Australia, royal expert and commentator Josh Rom explained: “I think Meghan Markle being at the Invictus Games would only be a distraction when Harry is in that environment where he feels most at home, promoting a cause he feels so passionate about. Meghan would be a distraction, and I think it would be understandable for Meghan to stay at home and take care of their young children. I don’t think people would necessarily hold it against her for that.”
He gave the following argument for Prince Harry to fly solo: “If Harry does want to rehabilitate his image within the Royal Family and within the country, I think Harry at first might have to do that alone and then bring Meghan with him.”
He continued by revealing why the UK is close to Prince Harry’s heart. The royal expert stated that Great Britain will never have the same sentimental value to Markle because she did not spend enough time there.
He added: “The country has amazing memories of Prince Harry representing the country in Afghanistan, being a prince of everyone’s heart, his cheeky adverts for the Invictus Games with his late grandmother…The UK has taken Harry to their hearts over several years; there’s still the sentimental value with Harry there…but Meghan Markle doesn’t have the same power. She only really came onto the scene in 2017 and 2018, when she started up that relationship with Prince Harry.”
He concluded by saying that Prince Harry’s emotional ties to his birthplace matter. He claimed: “She hasn’t grown up in the UK public eye, so when we see someone who’s been absolutely trashing the Royal Family, she doesn’t have that same sentimental value that Prince Harry has in this country.”
Prince Harry, who is desperate to build on his relationship with his ailing father and a deep desire for his children to know and understand their heritage, will have to break from his wife’s dislike and disgust of the country.
