Prince William Shocks King Charles By Refusing To Answer Call Of Duty

Prince William Harry Meghan Markle New Book

Prince William would go to the ends of the earth for his wife, Kate Middleton, only if she wanted him to.

At the moment, that is not what she wants or needs from him. Middleton, who underwent a major surgery earlier this year, has revealed that she is battling cancer.

The mother of three is at Adelaide Cottage, recovering with the help of an army of nurses and her mother, Carole Middleton.

Prince William has been by his wife’s side every step of the way. And he has no intention of leaving her side, even if it means defying King Charles III and not responding when royal duty calls.

Case in point: the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, also known as CHOGM 2024. The event will take place in Samoa from the 21st to the 25th of October.

It was always assumed that because King Charles III was also facing his struggles with cancer, Prince William would replace him during this mini-royal tour.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams made this revelation about Prince William’s plan in The Royal Observer: “William and hopefully Catherine will undoubtedly stand in for King Charles if he is unable to attend CHOGM (Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting) in Samoa in October, and a tour of the Antipodes would normally follow. We Will see.”

He went on to say: “It will be appreciated that planning under these circumstances for royal engagements, let alone royal tours, is very difficult, if not impossible. The royal family is much slimmed down, with the Sussexes and the Duke of York not functioning as senior working royals. Only four working royals are under 70.”

However, sources close to the heir have confirmed via Express that he will proudly remain stubborn and dedicated to his family.

Putting Kate Middleton’s needs and comfort first, Prince William has decided to skip the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa in the fall.

One royal insider told the Express: “Attending the CHOGM is not something William can take on at this time due to Kate’s health, and although Anne and other working royals are doing a great job stepping in to plug the gaps at home, they are not viewed as high-level enough to represent The Sovereign as leader of the Commonwealth.”

King Charles, under his doctor’s supervision, will attempt to make the trip with Queen Camilla by his side.

Many royal supporters are applauding Prince William’s refusal to travel anywhere while his spouse is ill. Princess Kate‘s health is the priority; the monarchy’s affairs can wait.
