Sources close to the pop diva explained that she was forced to skip the event of the year due to her tour schedule. Entertainment Tonight learned that Swift made the difficult decision to skip the gala, “prioritizing her fans and her upcoming Eras Tour” over a glamorous event.
People also reported that Swift would be “focusing on rehearsals and tour prep” rather than attending fashion’s big night and its after-parties.
Swift relaunches her tour in Paris on May 9th. However, the absence of Kelce and Swift from the Met Gala has sparked a different social media narrative.
It revived speculations about that bitter and long-standing feud with Kim Kardashian. There is a massive possibility that Taylor Swift was not interested in walking the red carpet right before or after her biggest enemy.
The two ladies have been feuding for years. While Kim Kardashian has been quiet in the past months — because she is no longer married to Kanye West — Taylor Swift addressed their feud in her latest album, where she openly criticized Kardashian’s actions and behavior.
On the song “thanK you aIMee,” Swift slammed Kardashian for being a mean and cruel bully and told her two young daughters, North and Chicago West, would be singing this song.
In “thanK you aIMee,” Swift also sings: “It wasn’t a fair fight or a clean kill,” and rather cuttingly, Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman / But she used to say she wished that you were dead.”
A source close to Kim Kardashian spoke to PEOPLE Magazine to say that she is baffled by the fact that Taylor Swift has decided to keep going with the drama.
The insider claimed Kim Kardashian wants Taylor Swift to “move on from their years-old feud.” An insider told PEOPLE that Kardashian is “over the drama and thinks it is time for Swift to put their beef to rest. Kardashian “doesn’t get why [Swift] keeps harping on it. “It’s been literally years.”
