He believes a face-to-face meeting could help mend their relationship and bring much-needed peace to the family. However, with these four words — “it is not happening” — Prince William has shot down the possibility of a meeting between his wife and brother.
According to a royal expert, Prince William’s decision to prevent a reunion between Prince Harry and Kate Middleton is rooted in his deep concern for his wife’s well-being.
The future King believes any additional stress or emotional turmoil could harm her health, hence his firm stance.
In an interview with Fox News, royal expert Christopher Andersen has revealed why Prince William was brief and brutal in his answer to his brother.
He said that Prince William did not want Prince Harry near his cancer-stricken wife and added: “Harry would love to reconnect with Kate [Middleton]. They were once extremely close, and Harry was hit hard by the news of her cancer diagnosis, which he learned about just the way the rest of us did via Kate’s shocking video. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear [Prince] William is willing to let his brother anywhere near his ailing wife.”
He continued: “There was just too much drama between the brothers and their wives, and there is lingering bitterness on everyone’s part. So, the chances of even a meeting between Harry and the rest of the royal family, much less some sort of reconciliation, seem extremely slim. This bleak outlook underscores the gravity of the strained relationship.”
Prince Harry will leave England for a trip to Nigeria without seeing any of his royal relatives — a sign that the situation is indeed dire and definitive.
