Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have found themselves in a unique and dangerous position, with their titles now hanging in the balance.
The husband and his spouse have significantly shifted their perspectives on titles in the past few years. After stepping down from their royal duties, the pair made it clear that titles did not matter.
Sources close to Prince Harry and Markle stated that the titles were unimportant to their success. They proved to the Royal Family that they could land lucrative contracts and cash huge Netflix checks solely based on the names Harry and Meghan.
However, whenever the opportunity arises, Prince Harry and Markle quickly put forward the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. They have done so to sell books and hike the prices of their paid appearances and speeches.
Confirming that titles might be necessary after all, Prince Harry and Markle fought tooth and nail for the titles of their young children, Archie and Lilibet.
After spending months going back and forth with King Charles III, Prince Harry and Markle’s determination paid off, and they secured the titles of Prince and Princess for their young children.
King Charles refused despite the many calls from royal experts and historians to remove the titles. Prince Harry and Markle seemed untouchable, but this week, King Charles pulled a move that hinted that their titles and legacy might be in danger if they continue to shed a negative light on the Royal Family.
King Charles revealed that all is fair game in war by announcing that the heir to the throne, Prince William, would be made colonel-in-chief of the Army Air Corps instead of Prince Harry.
As Prince Harry, who was deployed twice to Afghanistan, was preparing for the Invictus Games’ 10th anniversary celebration in London, King Charles issued the statement confirming Prince William was given the prestigious and high-ranking role.
Buckingham Palace shared: “His Majesty the King will officially hand over the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.”
The Palace said in a statement. “In August 2023, following His Majesty’s Accession, the King was pleased to announce military appointments, including the appointment of the Prince of Wales as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps. The role was previously held by His Majesty the King, as Prince of Wales, for 31 years.”
Prince Harry and Markle are now forced to move carefully and think before speaking because King Charles is out of patience and forgiveness and is willing to pull any card.
