Prince William is not surprised that his younger brother has allowed his resentment and jealousy to rear their heads as he prepares to attend one of the year’s most significant events in which he will play a major role.
On June 7th, Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, the billionaire several times richer than King Charles III, is set to marry Olivia Henson.
The Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, holds a special place in the hearts of Prince Harry and Prince William, as he has been a close friend since childhood.
Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, is not only a childhood friend of Prince Harry and Prince William but also the godfather of Prince George and Prince Archie.
It has been reported that Grosvernor invited the warring brothers to the ceremony. For a brief moment, it looked like the heir to the throne, Prince William, and his younger brother, Prince Harry, who have had a complex relationship, were about to collide at their best friend’s wedding.
However, Prince Harry bowed out from the event to avoid clashing with his brother and ruining the bride and groom’s big day. It has been confirmed that Prince William without Kate Middleton will be present.
Prince William has been given the great honor of being The Duke of Westminster’s wedding party. According to one royal expert, Prince Harry declined the invitation because of Prince William.
In an interview with The Mirror, royal author Tom Quinn said: “Harry’s decision not to attend his old friend Hugh Grosvenor’s wedding was probably inevitable once he realized his brother would be there.”
Prince Harry’s decision to skip the wedding was a challenging one. A close friend revealed that he was grappling with the painful thought of being in the same room as Prince William, a feeling he could not bear.
The pal shared a clear message for his brother and added: “Harry definitely had second thoughts about turning down the invitation to Hugh’s wedding, but he can’t bear the idea of being in the same building as his brother, let alone the same room’.”
The expert claimed that Prince Harry has been wallowing in painful jealousy because he feels that he deserves the role of usher, a position that his brother has been given.
The commentator shared: “Harry felt he should have been usher at the wedding. Harry hates the idea of completely losing touch with his old Etonian and army friends, and he was close to Hugh Grosvenor, but attending a wedding at which his brother will be an usher is just history repeating itself in the most painful way.”
He added: “Harry felt he should have been invited to be an usher, but once again his brother takes precedence.”
Another insider said Prince Harry was “triggered” to decline the invitation when he was told that his older brother was being made an usher.
