King Charles III and the heir to the throne are hearing the alarm bells around the Palace ring louder and louder with each passing day that Meghan Markle does not get her business off the ground.
This was supposed to be the year of Markle’s big launch or rebrand, depending on which member of her team speaks to the media. Markle unveiled her highly anticipated American Riviera Orchard lifestyle company.
Markle and her staff made many promises — supporters were told to get on a waiting list to order the most exquisite organic products from ARO.
Prince Harry‘s wife let on that she was ready to drop delicious jams, delightfully scented candles, healthy dog treats, and body oils from the gods.
Months have passed, and apart from charming baskets of lemons, jars of jam, and one container of dog treat, Markle’s business has yet to bear substantial fruit.
Markle seems to have overpromised and underdelivered, which could be a terrible marketing strategy for a first-time entrepreneur.
If her business venture falters, Markle’s backup plan is a memoir that could potentially shake the Royal Family with its revelations about her life as a California girl who rose to royal status and then returned to her roots.
The idea has rang alarm bells in London that Markle could point her pen and well-written sentences at the monarchy, King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, for what she deems past failures towards her and the world.
King Charles and Middleton, who are ill, are trying their best not to imagine the chaos Markle could create with her decision to share what she knows about them.
Royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror that the book might be Markle’s best course of action to generate income if ARO fails to take off.
He stated: “Despite all her efforts to make her new online business, American Riviera Orchard, a success, Meghan knows that a personal memoir about her time in the U.K. as a working royal would sell millions of copies and generate the kind of income she desires.”
He went on to reveal King Charles’s reaction to the potential release of such a memoir, which he described as “horrific news” for the Royal Family.
The commentator added: “She is also acutely aware that such a book would only boost traffic to her new online business. All this fills King Charles with horror because Harry is bound to be a major contributor to the book. And we know there is a lot more material.”
Markle is still holding a few cards.
