Britney Spears is finally getting positive news, but close friends and an ex-husband have quickly muddled it.
The singer has had some complicated years after finally convincing a judge to end her conservatorship. Spears got married and rapidly filed for divorce because the romance became toxic.
The drama continued with Spears’s sons — Jayden and Sean Preston‘s brutal and public decision to cut ties with her because of her activities on Instagram.
In a shocking interview with The Daily Mail, Jayden Federline bashed the diva.
Spears’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, also jumped in via Page Six and The Daily Mail to slam her behavior on social media.
Federline did all of that while demanding that Spears pay more child support. The former backup dancer delivered a final blow to his ex-wife by moving to Hawaii with their sons.
This week, a ray of hope shone on Spears’s life as it was reported that she had finally reconnected with her talented artist son, Jayden.
PEOPLE Magazine confirmed the reunion. A source explained to Page Six: “They have been spending a lot of time together. Britney is thrilled to have her baby back. Everything is moving in the right direction.”
Page Six revealed that Jayden initiated contact with his mother. The insider shared: “Jayden texted Britney to say he was back home. She was very happy to hear from and see him.”
Soon after, Kevin Federline threw cold water on the news, hinting that Spears might be a liar or delusional about her relationship.
The former DJ’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told TMZ: “If there has been a reconciliation, it’s news to Kevin.”
Close friends of Spears have also criticized the report, saying they are concerned about the timing. Jayden, 18, decided to reconnect weeks after Spears stopped paying child support.
A friend told The Daily Mail: “Those close to Spears believe all of this is rather odd and suspicious. Jayden just turned 18 two months ago, and not long after, he reached out to Britney, saying he missed her and felt she had shown she was doing better. Everyone around her is cautiously optimistic.”
The pal added: “Yes, Jayden is her baby, but he’s also publicly spoken out against her in that interview, which devastated her. Still, things are going great now, and Britney couldn’t be happier.”
The mother and son have connected over their passion for music, and Jayden is determined to make it in the industry with the help of his famous mother.
The insider shared: “Jayden is determined to break into the music industry, and Britney is ready to give him every advantage. She believes he’s incredibly talented, and she takes full credit for his musical abilities.”
