The year 2024 did not exactly turn out as Meghan Markle had hoped. Prince Harry‘s wife failed to launch a successful solo business.
Moreover, after taking a break from criticizing the British royal family, she was not able to make peace with her father-in-law, King Charles III.
To some extent, things even got worse with The Monarch. Markle was also on the losing side in the November election when former President Donald Trump beat Vice President Kamala Harris to return to the White House.
Mr. Trump has vowed to investigate so-called irregularities around Prince Harry’s visa. He even said that if the Duke of Sussex lied about his drug use on the visa application, he will get deported.
While this outcome is unlikely, it is clear that Trump is not the candidate that Markle and her husband were backing.
After accumulating the losses, Markle is determined to turn things around next year, and no one will be able to hold her back.
Experts are convinced that the Duchess of Sussex wants to build an American empire as an independent woman.
Markle will not rely on Prince Harry and has been putting some distance between them in recent months. Moves are reportedly being made behind the scenes so Markle can reach her goals and end up in a powerful position.
Her team is eyeing more solo work in 2025 to showcase her strength as a woman without Prince Harry as a drag.
Royal expert Daniela Elser wrote for News.com.au: “The mark that Meghan seems to want to make as 2025 rolls around is that of a woman determined to set out on her own and to build a business that has nothing to do with that red-headed bloke she married or his emotionally repressed relatives.”
While others may see this as a negative for Prince Harry, Elser sees things differently and adds, “This change, of Harry and Meghan separating their public images and personae to pursue independent projects and to really play to their natural strengths, could end up being a masterstroke.”
Critics still believe that Markle will have trouble changing her image because the public’s view has hardened in the past four years. She will fail or succeed, but she will give it her all.
Psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig told OK! Magazine: “Meghan’s ultimate aim seems to be to make herself relevant and to transform herself into American royalty who is admired and powerful, independent of her husband. Whether this will be successful remains to be seen, as the public has not always been receptive to many aspects of her character and personality.”
Markle seems to view 2025 as a make-or-break year for her and her ambitious goals.
