The songwriter has obtained a permit to expand her stunning $17.75 million Rhode Island mansion. According to the Providence Journal, via Page Six, it was revealed that: “Contractors are planning on building an addition to the pop star’s oceanfront home in Westerly’s Watch Hill neighborhood. The new wing will feature another bedroom and more bathrooms, and Swift’s existing kitchen also will be getting a makeover.”
According to the permit issued, the estimated cost is $1.7 million. Yahoo and The New York Post confirmed that Swift is investing in the next phase of her life.
The pop queen believes it will be her forever home for her and Travis Kelce to raise their family. The source explains it is a significant investment in her plans to be married and have children.
A source close to Swift told The New York Post: “This is going to be her main home base and where she and Kelce will hopefully raise a family one day.”
Another insider told the media outlet, Swift is ready to settle down with Kelce. The person continued: “It looks like this may be Taylor’s domestic era. …Taylor is really embracing WAG life. I think she’s adapted so well to WAG life because she truly understands what it’s like to be part of a team — especially coming off Eras where she formed such a close connection with her band, dancers, singers and crew.”
The insider also added: “She appreciates that sort of camaraderie and collaboration, that kind of chosen family. She fully gets and respects those bonds and why they need to be supported. She can’t stop. The idea of your work family becoming your friend group is a natural for her — she has always befriended the people she works with, from Jack Antonoff to the Haim sisters to Ed Sheeran.”
