Jessica Alba started the year by confirming that heartbreaking rumors about the state of her marriage were true. The actress announced that her two-decade marriage to Cash Warren was over.
In a joint statement, the former couple explained that they will forever remain family. Despite the end of their marriage, the couple emphasized their enduring love and profound respect for each other.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to co-parenting, ensuring that their children’s well-being remains their top priority.
The statement read: “I’ve been on a journey of self-realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash. I’m proud of how we’ve grown in our marriage over the last twenty years, and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals. We are moving forward with love, kindness, and respect for each other and will forever be family.”
Alba added: “Our children remain our highest priority, and we request privacy at this time.”
However, before the official announcement, the businesswoman took to Instagram to discuss everything that went wrong throughout the relationship.
Alba hinted that they had grown apart and suggested she was not getting the support she needed when she decided to return to acting.
Alba took a 10-year break from acting to build a billion-dollar company, which she recently stepped down from and sold, to return to her acting career.
Those, who know or follow Cash Warren, saw the problems between the couple from a mile away. Cash Warren was raw about his wife’s high-profile Hollywood career in a past interview.
Even though Warren is also a film producer, he was honest by saying it troubles him that Abla is on the screen. He confessed to being extremely jealous when his wife worked on a film with other men.
According to E! story and The Dailymail, Warren candidly explained in late 2023 while on the Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast that he was “really jealous of other guys.”
He said: “When we first started dating, I was really jealous of other guys and the attention she was getting from other guys. It just wasn’t making me feel good. I was always a pretty confident person in my own [life], walking my own path and really happy there.”
Cash Warren continued by saying he became an A-hole for no reason.
He said: “Next thing you know, I’m looking up and feeling jealous all the time. We broke up four years into our relationship. It was the jealousy. I was turning into an a**hole, and so we broke up, I m her biggest cheerleader’ I’m not interested in the spotlight.”
Alba first sparked divorce chatter after she was seen enjoying a stroll with Italian producer Andrea Iervolino without her wedding ring on.
Andrea is producing the biopic Maserati: The Brothers, which stars Alba, Michele Morrone, Anthony Hopkins, and Andy Garcia.
That interview indicates that Alba’s decision to return to Hollywood caused significant problems in her already complicated marriage.
