Jessica Alba revealed the heartbreaking status of her marriage to Cash Warren earlier this year.
After more than two decades of shared memories, raising three children, and building a successful business, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren decided to part ways.
For those who have been loyal followers of Alba and Warren, the news of their divorce was not entirely unexpected, but it was undeniably a sad moment.
Over the past two years, Alba and Warren have been open about the challenges they faced in their long-term relationship, discussing issues that were deeply personal and often painful.
Late last year, the Honey actress appeared on a podcast and revealed some inconvenient and rather sad bombshell truths about her decades-long romance.
Alba confessed that her marriage was rapidly devolving and that they had gone from husband and wife to simple roommates.
According to Alba, they were like two ships passing one another in the starry night, never having time for date nights, romance, or any private moments because of their hectic lifestyles and the three young children they were raising.
Alba emphasized that the responsibility for their relationship issues should be equally shared, as she and Warren often discussed making time in their busy schedules but failed to follow through.
With a deep sense of regret in her voice, she confided in host Katherine Schwarzenegger: “It’s all rosy for two-and-a-half years. But then, after that, you become roommates. You’re just going through the motions and the responsibilities. It’s a lot of like checking the boxes.”
Alba went on to reveal: “I think that he probably gets the short end of the stick. I would say we. It’s not even him. I would say it’s us. It’s a US thing when I see him and spend time with him and enjoy each other. And it feeds me as well.”
The businesswoman had this to say about the many empty promises they made to prioritize their marriage: “We used to do every Wednesday we’re going to do date night or every week we’re gonna set aside a time—we’re gonna at least do date night, right? We won’t have our phones, and we’d like to talk. But then that stopped because whatever, and so we’re just not consistent.”
Alba also admitted that they got too comfortable in the romance, which led to a lack of consideration for each other’s feelings.
She said: “We obviously have the friendship, the comfort of like, you’re not going anywhere. And so sometimes you don’t treat those people the best. You don’t consider their feelings in the way you would consider other people’s feelings. So that is something I think is a constant one to work on.”
The businesswoman seems ready to start a new chapter in her life.
