Ben Affleck has decided to pull the plug, for real this time, on all ties to singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.
Lopez’s response was swift and public, making it clear that she was not going to back down. This week, the Daily Mail spoke to several sources close to Ben Affleck and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
The people in the know claimed that Affleck and Garner’s oldest daughter, Violet Affleck, finally came to her senses and permanently cut ties with Jennifer Lopez.
The insiders claim that Violet Affleck felt used and purposefully misled throughout Jennifer Lopez’s dramatic marriage and bitter divorce.
One source told the media outlet that Violet became frustrated by the fact that Lopez hurt her father by sharing painful and private details about their failed marriage.
The insider said this about Violet’s decision to sever all ties with her ex-stepmother: “Violet felt like she was used as a pawn so to speak during her dad’s split from JLo. Over time, Violet started to see how upset her father was that their split was at the center of everything. Ben never said a word about JLo.Violet is highly intelligent and will ultimately always be a daddy’s girl. This is why you do not see her on public outings with JLo anymore.”
The following day, after the Daily Mail published the piece, Jennifer Lopez cleverly found a way to let the world know that she and her twins Max and Emme had also definitely moved on from the Affleck/Garner clans.
Lopez took it to Instagram, where she posted a video honoring their 17th birthday. The video took fans down memory lane, showing Max and Emme as babies and, throughout the years, having fun and bonding with their mother.
The clip ends with the teens having fun and eating cake with their family members; the footage suggests that the close bond between Lopez’s twins and Affleck’s three children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel, has been brutally terminated.
It is claimed that Lopez is heartbroken and disappointed by how it all ended. Lopez can only respect Violet’s decision to cut ties.
However, make no mistake: Lopez sincerely loved the children and was happy to have a blended family, even if only briefly.
The two famous personalities have closed the chapter on their romance for good. However, they seem in no hurry to start dating again.
