Taylor Swift has been muddied in the past few months because of the ongoing multi-million-dollar lawsuit between Blake Lively and her It Ends with Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s legal drama stems from claims of sexual misconduct, inappropriate behavior, and attempts to destroy each other’s careers and reputations.
In a series of leaked court documents and text exchanges, Baldoni heavily implied that Lively used Swift’s name to pressure him and his team to get her way while working on the film.
Selena Gomez is unwavering in her support for Taylor Swift, making it clear that she stands by her friend through thick and thin.
In the same breath, Gomez has implied that she saw the trouble known as Lively coming from afar and did her best to warn Swift.
Sources close to Selena Gomez explained to The Daily Mail that as a longtime friend and confidante of Taylor Swift, she has always had reservations about her extremely close bond with Blake Lively.
Gomez did not keep her concerns about Lively to herself; she spoke to Swift about the potential emotional pain and drama it could lead to.
Gomez took a step further; she refused to be associated with Lively. Indeed, Swift is never seen or photographed with Gomez and Lively simultaneously.
Gomez skipped all of the NFL and Super Bowl games that Lively attended to help cheer Travis Kelce on. The former Disney star has never attended one of Lively and Swift’s famous New York dinners or birthday parties.
Gomez took part in a telling interview with Elle magazine where she said: “I wish she was my friend, but she’s not my friend. Blake Lively. I’ve never met her, but I just love her hair.”
An insider stated that Gomez smelled the scandal that Lively would have caused before it happened. Selena Gomez’s close friend told The Mail: “She warned Taylor about Blake, raising her concerns years ago. Blake called Taylor her best friend and family and then asked her to be the godmother of her children.”
Swift and Lively’s friendship spans over a decade. The “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer has become the godmother to Lively and Ryan Reynolds‘ children.
The person in the know said that Gomez never believed in Swift and Lively’s relationship. According to the insider, Gomez always found the Swift-Lively relationship odd, but she could do little about it.

Revealing Gomez’s heartbreak for the troubling situation, the source stated: “Selena wishes no one harm or ill will and is glad that Taylor is getting to see what she has felt for years. Selena wishes Taylor was not involved in this and will be there for her however she can.”
The insider concluded: “Lively is bringing Swift into her legal drama, Gomez feels she has been justified.”
