George Clooney has made a rare decision to open up about his private life like never before.
The Oscar-winning actor and filmmaker sat down for a long conversation with Gayle King, who asked him to share a few personal details about his marriage to Amal Clooney.
The Hollywood star and the British lawyer and activist married in 2014. The power couple shares twins, Ella and Amal Clooney Alexander, who were born in 2017.
They are often photographed during family outings and at red carpet-events. However, George and Amal Clooney and have stayed clear from talking to the media about their personal lives.
This week, the actor broke that tradition by sharing multiple details about his marriage. Clooney surprised many, including his fans and the media, by confessing that he has never disagreed with his spouse after 11 years of marriage.
He stated that some of his relatives are concerned that a heated or healthy disagreement has never occurred.
Clooney told King: “I remember we were here with you once before, and I remember we said we’d never had an argument. We still haven’t. We’re trying to find something to fight about!”
He revealed how lucky he is to have found such a great partner in life. The businessman expressed his deep admiration for his wife, saying: “I feel so extraordinarily lucky to have met this incredible woman,” continued the Oscar winner. “And I feel as if I hit the jackpot. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think I’m the luckiest man in the world. So it’s great.”
Clooney spoke about the family member who raised questions about his nonarguments with the Columbia Law School professor.
He shared a humorous anecdote with King during a Monday interview on CBS Mornings: “It’s maddening to some of our friends. I have a cousin; every time we see him, he’s like, his first question is, ‘So have you had an argument yet?’ before he says ‘hello.”
The media outlet added: “Unable to believe what she was hearing, King asked if it was true that the couple had “seriously never argued.”
In his usual humorous style, George Clooney answered King’s disbelief with a witty question: “Would you like us to now? Would that make you feel better?”
In his confessions, Clooney is more or less where his wife stands politically. This implies that the attorney fully backed him when he published that unexpected and powerful piece of writing in the New York Times.
The op-ed was a scathing critique of Joe Biden‘s age and competence and was the catalyst for the Democrat from Delaware’s forced decision not to seek a second term.
Clooney also indicates that his wife, just like him, is not a supporter of Donald Trump. Trump has bashed and mocked Clooney on multiple occasions.
Speaking of Trump, Amal may be barred from entering or living in the United States because of work with the International Criminal Court and new sanctions in an executive order signed by President Donald Trump.
According to Fox News: “The British human rights lawyer may have difficulty entering the United States again due to her work with the International Criminal Court and new sanctions in an executive order signed by President Donald Trump, which targeted individuals involved in specific international criminal investigations.”
The Financial Times shared: “Amal, 47, reportedly gave legal advice in a war crimes case against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over the war in Gaza.”
That case garnered international attention and was a significant milestone in her career.
Clooney and his family have relocated to New York because he is currently starring in Good Night, and Good Luck on Broadway. However, the couple owns mansions worldwide, so Trump’s threat is believed not to be an issue.
