Brad Pitt has seen the light at the end of the tunnel of his ugly estrangement with his six children, and that light is gloomy and heartbreaking and could be in a permanent state.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had a lengthy and complicated romance. They were later entangled in an even stranger divorce battle that began in the fall of 2016 after a drunken incident on a private plane, which led to a temporary investigation by Child Protective Services.
The ongoing legal battle, the exposure of private documents, and shocking revelations about Pitt and Jolie have created a significant emotional distance between the father and his children: Maddox, 23; Pax, 21; Zahara, 20; Shiloh, 19, and the twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
The eight-year legal drama had life-changing consequences for the clan – all the children have changed their last name, a symbolic act that reflects their desire to distance themselves from their father and the emotional toll of the divorce.
They have dropped Pitt, with Shiloh taking it a step further than her siblings – the burgeoning dancer and choreographer hired a lawyer and took legal action to remove her father’s last name.
It has been confirmed despite his best efforts and pleas, all of the children have refused to have any contact with Pitt. They blame him for ruining their parents’ marriage and childhood.
After countless rejections, Pitt has seen the light and has decided to move on with his life. Via the Daily Mail, a source close to Pitt has washed his hands off Pax and his ongoing drama.
Pax, who made a Father’s Day post about Pitt that some considered disrespectful, has been involved in numerous accidents in the past few months.
Pitt has attempted to reach out to Pax during his hospitalization, but he has refused. His son has also turned away Pitt after he was spotted intoxicated with pals around Hollywood.
The person in the know said: “He has zero concern with what Pax does or doesn’t do. [Pax’s] actions reflect who he is. Brad honestly considers his relationship with Pax unfixable.”
He has also closed the chapter on Maddox, who had wanted to testify against him in court. The insider claimed on Page Six: “He remains estranged from most of his children despite several efforts to reconnect” — and this has caused him a lot of heartbreak, carries … a deep emotional weight regarding his family.”
The person stated: “He sees twins Knox and Vivienne periodically. But the rest of the relationships are strained.”
Despite the heartbreak, many supporters have rallied around Pitt, expressing their belief that it’s time for him to find a happier chapter in his life.
