The Oscar winner also sat down on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, where he opened up about his sobriety, saying, “There have been moments in my life when I have fallen apart. I almost attended an AA meeting on my knees.” Pitt also explained that he went through a “deep slump” after his divorce from Jolie.
Days after these deeply troubling confessions, sources close to Brad Pitt explained that he is over that drama.
Speaking with Us Weekly, a member of Brad Pitt’s entourage revealed that after the grueling divorce drama finally concluded, Pitt was left with one haunting question: at what cost?
Looking back, Brad Pitt sees only one winner: the system or machine that profited off their backs and salivated over every personal, sordid, and excruciating detail about their torn and dysfunctional lives. He deems that the children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, Vivienne–suffered and lost the most.
The source claimed: “The divorce is something that has been controlling his life for so many years. He loved her, and he knows he made mistakes. It was such a divisive, toxic situation, the events leading up to the split and the aftermath, turned the kids against him as well, but he doesn’t blame [Jolie] for everything.”

The confident shared: “Ever since he stopped drinking, everything has changed. However, Jolie is still not in a place where she is going to forgive him or ever will.”
