Ben Affleck might be having a hard time hearing what Jennifer Lopez really thinks of him, or perhaps he simply does not care at all and has moved on with his life post-divorce.
Either way, the multitalented star has decided to make her feelings known. One of Lopez’s biggest hits is entitled “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” a seemingly ironic title considering she was singing about her then-boyfriend Sean “P. Diddy” Combs.
He allegedly showered her with the most expensive gifts and exotic trips, but could not find the time to be with her.
After her brutal split from Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez has decided to move on with a new man.
This time, however, she has laid out one of her top conditions for considering a date with a suitor: he must earn the same amount of money as her or more.
Lopez, through her decades as an actress, singer, spokesperson, and businesswoman, has amassed a net worth of approximately $400 million.
According to a source who spoke to Yahoo, Lopez believes her previous marriages to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony, and her former engagement to Alex Rodriguez failed because they were not wealthy enough.
This might have strained and doomed the romances from the beginning. However, it will not be simple.
Lopez is now in her 50s, and most super-wealthy men in their 50s and 60s often seek women half their age, with no children and limited real-life experiences, who simply want to have fun, be pampered, and entertained.
The insider stated: “There are only a handful of matchmakers in the world that cater to the top one percent, so they’re very pricey. We’re talking upwards of a million dollars, but J.Lo has been told by a number of people that it’s worth spending the money. She’s ready to sign up and get some help.”
The source added, “She has very high expectations about who she wants to share her life with; they need to be super successful, handsome, and at the top of their game in every way. They don’t necessarily need to be worth more than she is, but she does want them to be in the same ballpark as she is when it comes to their net worth.”
Many see this as a direct shot at Ben Affleck, who loved and hurt her two decades ago, wowed her in 2022, and divorced her just two short years later because he allegedly refused to work on their marital issues.
Lopez is letting him know that his alleged financial shortcomings may have been a factor in why their romance did not work the two times they tried.
Ben Affleck should take it with a smile, because Lopez is not saying he failed in the bedroom.
Then again, after Gwyneth Paltrow‘s recent comments about her private moments between the sheets with Affleck, no one can say that he is not up to the task.
On second thought, maybe Lopez can find a wealthy beau because she just wants to have fun, and there will be no wedding strings attached.
When asked if she would get married a fifth time, the mother of two confessed that she is not looking to marry ever again.
She stated: “I think I’m done with that. I’ve tried that a few times.” She also added: “You have to be complete, if you want something that’s more complete. You have to be good on your own. I thought I learned that, but I didn’t. And then, this summer, I had to be like, ‘I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that.”
Lopez is definitely entering a new era.
