The Princess’s Public Scrutiny
Kate Middleton, while focusing on her family and health, has faced a barrage of criticism in the media. Along with Prince William, she experienced negative coverage during their vacation in both Greece and Scotland, with reports labeling them as “work-shy freeloaders” and “highly privileged.”
Additionally, media attention surrounded reports of their planned relocation to yet another multi-million-dollar royal residence, which contributed to a public debate about their impressive property portfolio at a time when many people struggle to make ends meet, living paycheck to paycheck.
Kate Middleton wants the criticism to subside as she prepares for a grand return to the spotlight. In the next few weeks, a refreshed and well-rested Princess Catherine is expected to use her “star power” to overpower the media.
A Strategic Role in the State Visit
Princess Catherine is expected to be the belle of the ball as she attends the state banquet that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be hosting for Donald Trump‘s state visit. The event will take place from September 17 to 19 at Windsor Castle.
In a stunning gown, with her luscious, honey-blonde hair underneath a priceless tiara, the Princess of Wales will display her unique elegance and charisma, possibly outshining Melania Trump if she accompanies the US president.
The former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told The Mirror that the Princess of Wales might have one of the most important and prominent roles when Trump arrives in London. Kate Middleton will be the Icing on the cake for a vain man.
The journalist said: “Catherine will be the icing on the cake for a man as vain as Donald Trump. To be seen with her will be gold dust in his eyes. And I’m sure she will be there to massage his ego in the most diplomatic, subtle and regal way.”
Princess Anne and the Duchess of Gloucester will certainly be in attendance but have no plans to outshine Princess Kate.
Bond went on to say: “And the Princess Royal will also have a key role, as always. She really is the King‘s right-hand woman; his confidante, his wingwoman.”
She went on to explain that Princess Anne and the Duchess of Gloucester are both “hard working, no-glory-seeking women of the Royal Family,” who are more dedicated to their royal work than fixating on their appearances.
Bond said: “Neither, I think, would care one fig about what anyone said about their looks. They dress appropriately for the business of the occasion. Neither seeks to be the center of attention, even though they often are. They want the focus to be on the business or cause or campaign in hand. And both have one aim: to support the institution of monarchy. Anne and Birgitte are stalwarts on the royal treadmill. They work hard, ask for no recognition, almost shun publicity…and just get on with the job. The Royal Family has slimmed down drastically through a combination of circumstances—and so these two more than pull their weight each week. Quietly and in a business-like way. And that is a huge help for the King.”
Proving Her Worth to the Monarchy
In all her glory, Kate Middleton will be able to put a bright spotlight on the UK and, of course, get tongues wagging, but this time in a positive manner.
As she did during France’s President Emmanuel Macron and first lady Brigitte Macron‘s visit, her presence will once again demonstrate to the world why she is important to the future and the continuation of the monarchy.
Sources say “she will put all the rumors to rest without saying a single word, for her mere presence, demeanor, and poise will be enough to silence the criticism. In her glorious return, Kate Middleton will answer the question: Why is she so important and why does she matter to the monarchy?”
The gathering will be an important moment for the Royal Family and a possible challenge for Melania Trump if Princess Kate is at her best.
