A Family Feud Unfolds
Taylor Swift has been caught in an unexpected and somewhat delightful family feud between her fiancé and her future mother-in-law.
Weeks after the singer announced her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce and the athlete appeared for another delightful episode of their podcast, New Heights.
The topic of conversation was the pressure and tension brewing in the Kelce family because Travis has not yet given his mother, Donna Kelce, a grandchild.
The athletes went back and forth, explaining that Donna is not one to hide her feelings; she is direct and blunt. As a result, she appears to be looking forward to Taylor Swift becoming a mom.
The New Heights Confession
Here is the wild and lighthearted discussion between the brothers and their guest, Deion Sanders, as reported by Page Six.
Jason confessed that Donna, 72, has “always had Travis [in the] No. 1 slot.”
Travis did not dispute that he was once his mother’s favorite, but explained why he is no longer in the top spot.
He said that right now, “[Donna] has Jason at No. 1 because he has kids.” Jason is a dad to daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 5 months, with wife Kylie Kelce.
Jason admitted that Donna has been applying pressure on Travis to make her wish come true. The retired football star said, “That is true. She has said that. She has made that comment. She has put some pressure on him.”
Sanders chimed in to jokingly ask, “But what are you waiting on, though? What are you waiting for?”
Travis blushed and stopped talking, not wanting to put his fiancée in an awkward position. He recognizes that discussing a woman’s private matters in public is inappropriate.
Taylor Swift’s Motherhood Plan
At the moment, however, Taylor Swift is heavily focused on her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, and possibly another major world tour. She is also extremely busy planning her dream wedding. Sources claim that Swift is eager to have children of her own because she feels a strong desire for motherhood and simply adores children.
But she will only take these steps after the marriage and after a significant career move. So, Donna Kelce will have to wait a little longer. The good news is that eventually, many Swifts and many Kelces will be running around.
