Brad Pitt hits Angelina Jolie where it hurts after she bared her soul and revealed all about their failed marriage in her declaration.
Angelina Jolie has decided it is time to share some very private and disturbing details about her doomed marriage to Brad Pitt.
Jolie did not go to the media, nor has she published a memoir that would certainly break all records. The actress had remained silent for almost a decade about the events that led to the end of her romance with Pitt because she wanted to protect her six children.
Jolie deemed that they had been through enough and did not want to further cause them any pain by having the most hurtful and humiliating private moments leaked and dissected by the media.
Jolie Reveals Losing “Money, Dignity, And Forever Home”
However, this week, she filed a declaration in court because it was the only way she could compel Brad Pitt to take on some financial responsibility toward her.
In the court documents, Jolie spoke for the first time about losing money, dignity, and the place she loved and called her forever home after the plane incident, where Pitt allegedly physically and emotionally hurt her.
She explained how her finances took a turn after losing Miraval Castle. She revealed that since 2016, the year of the incident and the year she filed for divorce, she and her children have never set foot in the château.

Jolie, who wants Pitt to cover her $33,000, had her lawyers explain the following in the motion she filed: “Jolie, through counsel, repeatedly asked Pitt to withdraw [the motion]. She even warned him numerous times that if the Court denied Pitt’s motion, Jolie would ask the Court to order Pitt to pay Jolie’s attorneys’ fees opposing the motion. Pitt still refused to withdraw it. Jolie thus requests that the Court order Pitt to reimburse her for the substantial attorneys’ fees she was forced to incur.”
In her filing, Jolie revealed her truths about the lengthy and nasty divorce, saying: “The events leading to my need to separate from my ex-husband were emotionally difficult for me and our children. Upon filing for divorce, I left him control (and full residency) of our family homes in Los Angeles and at Miraval, without compensation, which I hoped would make him calmer in his dealings with me after a difficult and traumatic period.”
She confirmed that she had never set foot in the château and had indeed purchased a home near Pitt for the sake of the children. She confessed: “To this day, the children and I have never again set foot on the property, given its connection to the painful events leading to the divorce. Post-separation, I immediately began to look for a new house for me and our children, initially renting a home while looking for a more stable solution.”
She made it clear that she never wanted to cut Pitt out of his children’s lives. She added: “Because I wanted to ensure that Brad remained an important part of our children’s lives, I looked to buy a property near his home. At the time, my savings were tied up in Miraval, and I had not requested alimony or any other financial support from Brad. I was also very concerned about the health of our children, and so, for approximately two years, I declined work so that I could focus my attention on caring for our children and their recovery.”

Jolie confirmed that the rumors are true: she took a massive loan from Pitt and paid it back with interest. She said: “I was therefore not in a position to buy outright a home for our children in Los Angeles. I asked Brad to loan me the money to buy a home, which he agreed to do with interest.”
In her declaration, Jolie explained that in early 2017, she had on-again, off-again talks with Pitt about him buying out her interest in Miraval.
Jolie told the court it was heartbreaking to let go of Miraval because it was her dream and forever home for herself and her children. She elaborated her feelings: “These discussions were always difficult for me, due to my deep emotional ties to our family home there and how our relationship ended. Miraval was one of the first major investments we made together, and it was a focal point of our family life. We were married there, I spent part of my pregnancy there, and I brought our twin children home from the hospital there. To have such a sudden break from my home and memories has been hard, and it was especially difficult for the children to have their lives so disrupted.”

In the official court document, she talked about Pitt using coercive methods to force her to sign an NDA so she would never talk about the domestic violence that occurred. She explained why she rejected the NDA from Pitt because it would have been a soul-crushing move as a mother and advocate for victims of domestic violence.
Jolie said : “There was no practical need for the NDA, as I had not pressed charges or spoken out about the events that led to our divorce. In fact, for the previous five years, I had never publicly said a word about his actions. As the mother of our children, as well as an advocate for victims of violence around the world, I found his demand extremely painful. Although I had always voluntarily kept Brad’s actions confidential for the health of our family and had no plans to ever publicly disclose the facts, I could not agree to this coercive demand.”
Brad Pitt Hits Back With Damage Control, Moves In With Ines De Ramon
Pitt hit back with some damage control. In a glossy piece in PEOPLE Magazine, Pitt shared he has moved on from Jolie for good with Ines de Ramon, and they have taken a new step in their romance by moving into a home together.
A source tells PEOPLE that Pitt, 61, and de Ramon, 32, are now “fully living together and have moved into a new home. Brad is really including Ines in all his travel plans, and when they are home, they just relax together. They are really making their home into a home.”
The insider added: “They are happier than ever; they are going really strong. He’s so happy and in love as they plan for the future.”
The battle between the Hollywood icons has been going on for close to a decade.
