However, at one point during the conversation, the questions shifted to Joe Jonas‘s most famous ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

He was, of course, asked to share his thoughts on Swift’s latest, highly successful album, The Life of a Showgirl, which was released this month.

According to the musician, he is aware that there are contradictory reviews about the album, but there is no denying that Taylor Swift is one of the biggest artists of this century. He is happy that she is doing great and has taken on those attacking her craft.

He said: “I’ve heard some of it. I think she’s obviously the biggest artist out there, and I think it’s good. Everybody’s got an opinion about it, but from what I’ve heard, there are some catchy melodies.”

Jonas also spoke about his private life following his bitter divorce from his ex-wife, Sophie Turner. When asked if he is still single or seeing any special ladies at the moment, he explained that his busy schedule, which includes touring and working on new music, does not leave him time for a real relationship right now.

He said: “Five shows in a row doesn’t make it easy to meet someone for coffee.”

However, he admitted to meeting people online, saying, “I guess Instagram and TikTok are apps, and I’ve met people that way.”

Taylor Swift Addresses The 25-Second Phone Call

For those who are not aware, Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas dated back in 2008, and he famously broke up with her during a 25-second phone call.

Taylor Swift was the one who initially revealed this to the world, but she later expressed regret about that revelation and eventually explained that she now has an amicable relationship with Joe Jonas.

In 2008, Taylor Swift famously addressed the end of their relationship on The Ellen DeGeneres Show: “When I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful, and when I look at that person, I’m not even gonna be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18.”

In a full-circle moment eleven years later, a more mature, level-headed Taylor Swift appeared on the same show and confessed that she regrets putting him “on blast” and added: “That was too much. Yeah, that was too much. I was 18. We laugh about it now, but that was mouthy. Just teenage stuff there.”

Jonas went on to marry one of her close friends, Sophie Turner, and Swift even sends gifts to their children.

Showing that there is truly “no bad blood,” Swift wrote a lyric on her 2020 album folklore that is widely believed to be a reference to Joe Jonas and his ex-wife, Sophie Turner, confirming their amicable relationship: “Cold was the steel of my axe to grind, for the boys who broke my heart. Now I send their babies presents.”

Following the divorce, Taylor Swift became a shoulder for Sophie Turner to cry on, offering her support and even a place to stay as the exes figured out their custody battle in court.

Taylor Swift has certainly moved on from Joe Jonas and has dated other famous men in between. Swift and her NFL star and fiancé, Travis Kelce, announced their engagement in August 2025.

Since then, rumors about a June 2026 wedding have been circulating online. However, the couple has not confirmed a date or venue, and it is unlikely that they will, as it is a private and sacred event between the couple and their loved ones.
