Ben Affleck believed it was time to stop worrying about his second ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, revealing details about their failed marriage and the pain he caused when he mentally checked out.
Lopez left Affleck disheartened, pointing out why he was not the man she had thought he was. Before Affleck could recover from Lopez’s salty revelations, another public blow followed: an ex-fiancée shared private details about their earlier romance.
In her memoir released years after their 2000 split, Gwyneth Paltrow disclosed unwanted details about their 1990s relationship.
“Technically Excellent” Lover
In the newly published book Gwyneth: The Biography by Amy Odell, Paltrow revealed she enjoyed her sex life with Affleck.
The author mentioned a conversation between the actress and late makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin in a London hotel room while she was dating Affleck.
Paltrow confessed that she loved when Affleck “tea-ba*ged” her, as reported via Yahoo. The book also recounted how Paltrow told Harper’s Bazaar in 2001 that she considered herself “a very sexual person.”
Odell explained that the pair “were openly affectionate and occasionally indiscreet” on the set of Shakespeare in Love, and were once caught during an intimate moment.
The author wrote: “One day, a crew member went to fetch Gwyneth from her dressing room. The door was ajar, and the runner knocked and entered without waiting for a response, at which point he glimpsed Gwyneth in an intimate moment with Ben, who heard the runner and said, ‘Not now.'”
Paltrow never hid the fact that she loved being in bed with Affleck. During a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she described Affleck as a “technically excellent” lover.
Paltrow was asked to compare Affleck and Brad Pitt as boyfriends in the bedroom; she responded: “That is really hard, because Brad was like the sort of major chemistry, love-of-your-life, kind of like, at the time, you know? And then, like Ben was like, technically excellent.”
Cheating And Reservation
The author of the biography wrote that Paltrow was not only impressed with Affleck’s ability between the sheets, but he also wooed her with his “intellect.” She decided to stay with him even though her friends thought otherwise.
“Her friends had reservations about him, because he didn’t always reciprocate her affection,” she wrote. “He at times seemed more interested in playing video games with the guys at his house than being with Gwyneth,” Odell added.
According to the book, while Affleck might be a great lover, he is not a faithful one. A source revealed to the writer that there was cheating involved, and Paltrow forgave him. The person told the writer: “Ben was not a good guy, Gwyneth was always a good girlfriend to her boyfriends.”
The couple began dating in late 1997 after meeting at a dinner party. Over the next three years, they had an on-and-off relationship before ultimately ending things for good in October 2000. Paltrow’s later memoir would reflect on this period.
Affleck’s Fury Over Oversharing
Sources say Ben Affleck is frustrated and tired of his personal life being publicized. He wishes former partners would stop oversharing, as none of it flatters him.
A source explained via Yahoo that he is “livid” about the situation, and added: “Ben has zero sense of humor about this. This is not the kind of publicity he wants. He wants to be taken seriously – and this isn’t helping.”
