New revelations have emerged about King Charles III and his son, Prince Harry, but not many expect His Majesty to dispel them because they make a point; actually, they put the Duke of Sussex on notice.
The world will forever remember how Prince Harry dropped all that he was doing, rushed to a California airport, and flew to London to be present for his father, King Charles, the day he announced his cancer diagnosis.
It was clear that King Charles was not thrilled that the Duke arrived at his home uninvited after receiving news of his illness. King Charles made his feelings known by dismissing his son after a mere 30-minute visit.
Two years after the meeting, the truth is being spilled, and it is a tough pill for Prince Harry to swallow. It appears that His Majesty had prearranged a lie to push Prince Harry out the door without any fuss.
The revelations underline the calculated approach King Charles uses to manage his strained relationship with Prince Harry.
The King’s Calculated Deception
Via the Daily Mail, royal biographer and reporter Robert Jobson revealed in his latest book The Windsor Legacy that following King Charles’s cancer diagnosis and the start of chemotherapy he only wanted “peace and quiet” and was anxious to avoid any “drama.”
That is the main reason why he was extremely “irritated at being forced to wait in London” for Prince Harry, as he had planned to spend the weekend resting at Sandringham.
His Majesty always moves ahead and doid not wish for Prince Harry to prolong the visit; therefore, he pre-arranged a swift exit strategy.
According to reliable sources who spoke to the author, the brief meeting between the father and son at Clarence House was interrupted by a warning from staff members that it was time for a medical procedure, forcing Prince Harry’s departure.
The stunning truth, now revealed, is that “there was no procedure scheduled, and never had been.” The King immediately left for Sandringham by helicopter, which had been standing by for his delayed journey.
The book revealed: “he King, who’d broken the news of his cancer to Harry in a phone call, had started treatment straight away. He was undergoing chemotherapy and felt a strong need for peace and quiet. The last thing he needed was any drama – yet, without an invitation, Harry took it upon himself to fly over to see his father. The King had planned to spend the weekend at Sandringham in Norfolk, so he was irritated at being forced to wait in London until his son arrived. Their meeting was brief, around 30 minutes. Wary of letting Harry prolong it, Charles had pre-arranged for the meeting to be interrupted with a warning that it was time for a medical procedure. His son left soon afterwards. In fact, there was no procedure scheduled, and never had been. Instead, the King flew straight to Sandringham on a helicopter that had been standing by for his delayed journey.”
The Uninvited Visit
According to the book, Prince Harry, who told reporters that he “jumped on a plane” out of gratitude for seeing his father, is now discovering the agonizing truth that the King did not welcome the visit, as he desired solitude during his treatment. The episode paints Prince Harry as having been “played like a fiddle,” being given a short, controlled audience before being swiftly and deceitfully ushered out.
On the other hand, King Charles has no issue with this truth coming to light because he wants Prince Harry to know that he holds the power and will do what is necessary for his mental and physical well-being.
King Charles also wants Prince Harry and to some exten his wife, Meghan Markle, to know that, while he is willing to slowly forgive him and welcome him back into his home, he is guilty of many sins, humiliations, and revelations through Spare, interviews, and leaks; these are things that will take some time to get over. He is willing to forgive, but it will take longer to forget all the pain and hurt he caused.
The move also shows the measures the Monarch will take to get the tranquility that he requires while battling a serious illness.
The knowledge that his father deliberately staged an excuse to end their time together is likely to leave Prince Harry reeling and deepen his already-strained, scandal-plagued relationship with the monarchy.
