His ties to Jeffrey Epstein have been exposed, documented, analyzed, and scrutinized, leading to his being pushed out of the Royal Family’s inner circle. His titles, honors, and privileges are gone with King Charles III‘s administrative stroke of the pen.
Prince William’s Stance
Prince William pushed his father to take action against his disgraced uncle, but he is not done. He is now eyeing the two daughters of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. Sources explained to The Daily Beast that William does not want to be seen with them, “not now, not ever.”
The King continues to invite his nieces, demonstrating a desire to maintain family unity and avoid punishing the sisters for their father’s actions.
Prince William’s Position: The heir remains the primary source of opposition, reportedly skipping Christmas at Sandringham precisely because the York sisters will be present, viewing their connection to the disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor as toxic to the monarchy’s image.
Prince William believes his father has gone too soft and gullible on the York matter. He is, therefore, putting his foot down.
A royal source told the Daily Beast: “William and the family will do their duty and go to church with big smiles pasted on, but they are not expected for Christmas lunch at the big house. It has been an extremely difficult year for William and Catherine.”
A friend of William’s said, “There is not a specific fear about a specific detail. There is anxiety about the broader impact on the monarchy’s reputation of anyone with the surname York being part of it.”
He reportedly pushed for Catherine, Princess of Wales, not to invite the sisters to her annual Christmas carol service.
However, she defied him and did send them personal invitations. Prince William was ecstatic that his cousins, unlike their father, had the decency and common sense to skip the event. Though reports suggest the sisters were genuinely unable to attend due to prior commitments, William saw their absence as a win.
Eugenie’s Polite Social Media Knock-Out
Eugenie then took to social media and politely knocked William off his pedestal by reminding him that no matter what he does or says, they will always be family.
In a subtle way, she asserted her permanent position and distanced herself from her father’s errors. Following the carol concert she missed, Eugenie posted a message on her Instagram Stories that was interpreted as a direct yet gracious response to William’s attempts at exclusion: “Wish Bea and I could have been celebrating tonight with our family… Wishing [@princeandprincessofwales] such a special evening at her incredible carol service. What an amazing message of love and hope.”
This post was a subtle reminder that: They are family (“our family”). They are royals (tagging the Prince and Princess of Wales’s official account).
They will not pay for their father’s actions, echoing King Charles’s position, who stated that the sisters “must not be punished” for their father’s “sins.”
It appears the York sisters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are not backing down; they have yet to decline the King‘s invitation for the holidays, once more letting Prince William know they are here to stay.
