Prince Harry seems to have entered his provocative era, intentionally or not, and it might have consequences that he will not like.
Meghan Markle initially dominated headlines all fall with her Netflix series and the scandal regarding her father, Thomas Markle‘s, health issues.
Now that the situation has calmed down and Markle is more focused on the holidays, Prince Harry is the one enjoying time in the limelight, and he seems to have an agenda — creating some headaches for his father, King Charles III.
The Duke of Sussex appeared at two events and made jaw-dropping comments with one odd goal: to provoke and upset the ruthless, vengeful US President, Donald Trump, while infuriating King Charles.
Prince Harry’s failed attempts at humor will strain his and King Charles’s relationship, which is already hanging by a thread.
The Looming State Visit Conflict
This month, it was confirmed that King Charles and Queen Camilla will make a state visit to Washington, D.C., in the spring of 2026.
It is believed that Kate Middleton and Prince William will also travel to the nation’s capital.
The royal American tour will correspond with America’s 250th anniversary of independence. Multiple royal sources confirmed that King Charles and Prince William will make no efforts to see Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet during their visit to the US.
Since the news that King Charles will be meeting with President Donald Trump but has no plans to meet his grandchildren, it seems that Prince Harry is unconsciously or not muddying the water for his father.
Prince Harry has been exhibiting out-of-character behavior, deliberately mocking and insulting Donald Trump in an effort to rile up the politician.
Harry’s Double Attack on Trump
Prince Harry recently ridiculed President Donald Trump during a surprise appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The former soldier also participated in a holiday-themed sketch about a fictional Christmas movie, where he caused laughter by dropping two specific lines aimed at the President.
When Colbert challenged the idea of an American obsession with royalty, Harry responded with a sharp line referencing Trump’s perceived power: “Really? I hear you elected a king.”
During a joke about how he would secure an audition for an American TV show, he referenced Trump’s well-known legal issues, saying: “I’ll record a self-tape, I’ll fly myself to an audition, settle a baseless lawsuit with the White House—all the things you people on TV do.”
Less than 48 hours after the Colbert appearance, Prince Harry confirmed it was not a one-off. He made a second public joke, this time targeting the President’s immigration policies, at the British American Business Council’s 65th Anniversary Lunch in Santa Monica, California.
While discussing England and Scotland’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup, Harry joked about U.S. immigration enforcement. He said, “Next year, I know we are looking forward to welcoming more Brits from across the pond.”
Gaining a laugh from the audience, he then added: “Provided they behave, and if they make it through customs, and past ICE. The British are coming, hungry for victory, and they’re thirsty.”
King Charles’s Fury And Trump’s Threat
Many reports say Prince Harry is creating unwanted drama for King Charles, who wants a peaceful relationship with Donald Trump.
Trump has a relentless appetite for feuds, prompting many to say that it is best to be his ally than his enemy.
King Charles is enraged by Prince Harry’s decision to engage in constant mockery and insults against the President of the United States, because it could eventually erupt into an ugly transatlantic fight, and at his age, King Charles wants no such mess.
Prince Harry should also be reminded that his relationship with King Charles is hanging by a thread, and any wrong move could easily snap it, according to royal sources.
Prince Harry is also putting himself back on Trump’s radar. Trump has a passionate disdain for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and has attacked them on multiple occasions for being rude to the royals. He has also painted Prince Harry negatively, claiming that Markle is leading the show.
The verbal brawl took a more serious turn when Trump threatened to deport Prince Harry for possibly lying about drug use in his visa application.
Prince Harry has been advised to lay off the mockery because Trump has stunningly shown restraint since taking power, having decided to park the drama with the Sussexes.
Prince Harry might just awaken him from his slumber with his delusional comments and the consequences that would be horrific for the pair.
