Despite receiving “marching orders” and an eviction notice from King Charles to vacate the 30-room Royal Lodge, the pair has successfully delayed their departure until spring 2026, or maybe never. Their tactics have been as eccentric as they are effective.
The friendly exes have deployed a powerful moving logistic delay. According to sources who spoke to The Daily Mail, Andrew and Sarah Furguson have insisted that the decades of accumulated belongings—including thousands of teddy bears and piles of unopened Amazon boxes — made an immediate move impossible.
Another tactic to delay consisted of never-ending negotiations over proper staffing. They argued for more time to negotiate the transition of their personal staff, creating a “legal and logistical crawling” that frustrated Palace officials but bought them months of residency.
The Christmas Card Miracle
The most “stunning” move came from Sarah Ferguson herself. According to reports from the Daily Mail, Sarah sent a “gushing, personalized apology” in a Christmas card to King Charles.
Insiders describe the message as a “lengthy and passionate plea” in which she took full responsibility for her role in the scandals that have rocked the House of York, reportedly including the poignant line: “I hope we’ll meet again.”
Surreal Benefits From The King
It appears the strategy and Ferguson’s touching words have accomplished their mission. While Prince William remains firm on a total freeze-out, King Charles has reportedly “caved” out of familial concern. The King is now extending surreal benefits to the pair.
Rather than a “shoebox hovel,” the King is reportedly paying for massive renovations at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate to ensure it is “habitable and comfortable” for them in 2026.
Sources suggest the King has softened the “eviction” by offering more staff and financial privileges to ensure their transition is not as “drastic” as originally planned.
