Sarah Ferguson has decided to lift the veil on the secrecy surrounding her life and her “great escape” from the United Kingdom since the Epstein and Andrew debacle blew up.
This week, Prince Andrew‘s former wife has decided to clear up the big mystery that has surrounded her whereabouts ever since she was repeatedly named in a tranche of documents released by US investigators probing the late billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.
She made sure to be photographed in a casual outfit at a $2,700-a-night ski chalet in Austria. However, she has also decided to share more details about her decision not to return to the U.K. since the files were released, she lost her titles and privileges, and was evicted from Royal Lodge.
“Living In Fear”: The Emotional Toll of Exile
A source close to the Yorks revealed that Fergie has been “scared out of her mind” since exiting the U.K. and fears that if she returns, the authorities will come looking for her.
She is also afraid of what actions His Majesty might take if she is on British soil. She has angered the King to the point of no return with her numerous bombshell scandals; therefore, he can take measures to further punish her and her family.
The King has made it clear that he does not want her back in London, as Sarah Ferguson has not been contacted by any member of the Royal Family since she was unceremoniously stripped of the title she traded off for decades.
Regarding her current mental state, one friend claimed: “Sarah is living in fear right now. She’s not immune to everything that is happening. She realizes how serious everything is, and she is not coping with it.”
The source further explained that the former Duchess is terrified of what awaits her back on British soil: “She is definitely worried about returning home to the UK and is relying on the kindness of friends to help her through the situation. But she knows she can’t keep moving around forever. Sarah feels she has been abandoned by the royal family and has been treated very unfairly. She is at a complete loss over what to do.”
The “Supreme Friend” and the Epstein Files
The Epstein scandal hit Fergie last September when it emerged that she wrote to the convicted sex offender, calling him a “supreme friend” despite publicly disowning him. She shared intimate details about her daughter’s dating life and begged.
In documents released in January, Fergie appeared to say to Epstein in an email: “I am at your service. Just marry me.”
In other communications, she described the criminal as a “legend” and the “brother I have always wished for.” These revelations led a US lawmaker to write to her, urging her to testify before Congress.
Congressman Suhas Subramanyam’s letter read: “The Committee is seeking information from anyone who has knowledge of Mr Epstein’s criminal operations, and reports and released Department of Justice files reveal your close personal and business ties with him… I respectfully request your cooperation with the Committee’s investigation.”
Financial Ruin and a Shattered Career
To alleviate her mounting debts, it is believed that Sarah Furguson is eyeing a comeback in the literary world, possibly an interview, or, worst of all, a bombshell memoir.
Regarding her financial status, a source said: “One thing is for certain: she is desperately short of cash.”
As her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, deals with the fallout of his February arrest, Sarah Ferguson remains a woman on the run from a public and a family that she believes has turned its back on her forever, and is afraid of His Majesty’s wrath.
