President Donald Trump is currently grappling with the raw, honest thoughts surfacing from within King Charles III’s inner circle — revelations that suggest all his efforts to court the monarchy will get him nowhere close to a King who privately loathes him.
Trump has been running around talking to anyone who will listen about the fact that he is a “real royalist” and is completely enamored with the Royal Family.
In past interviews, Trump explained that he almost worshipped the ground Queen Elizabeth II walked on, and more recently, he has praised King Charles as potentially the greatest King ever.
During the April 2026 state visit, even as the Monarch was throwing subtle “jabs à l’Anglaise” against Trump’s manner of governing in his speech to Congress, Trump sat down with royal biographer Robert Hardman to gush over his admiration for the King.
Trump’s worship of the monarchy is a cornerstone of his personal identity. The real estate mogul turned politician told the author: “I’m a real royalist, you know, that I always have been. My mother really loved the Queen, and I’ve always had that deep respect for her and the royals.”
Trump went on to say that he dreamt of being part of that. He claimed: “ I think what they do for the world is incredible, and I’ve always wanted to be a part of that tradition.”
Trump said that King Charles is doing a “fantastic job,” seemingly oblivious to the subtle critiques the Monarch made during his state visit regarding NATO and climate change.
The president gleefully shared: “We’ve done a good job with the King, right? He’s a great guy, he really is. I think he’s going to be one of the greatest ever. We have a very special relationship, a lot of chemistry there.”
He showered Kate Middleton with praise, calling her “perfect” and “brave,” and described Prince William as the most magnificent King-in-waiting.
Donald Trump, who hopes to further be entwined with the monarchy, has invited Prince William and Kate Middleton to the United States this summer. All this while, he continued slamming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for what he views as their “great betrayal.” Trump claimed that the Waleses are the “magnificent” future of the monarchy, doubling down on his support.
He elaborated: “William, he’ll be a magnificent King. He’s a great guy. And Kate, she’s perfect, she’s so brave. What they’ve had to deal with—especially with Harry and that wife of his—is a disgrace. I stand with William and Kate 100 percent.”
However, if the latest reports have legs—and many royal reporters believe they do — Trump will certainly regret or feel foolish for pushing this one-sided bromance.
A recent report has revealed His Majesty’s buried thoughts on the President, and it is a mental massacre of the President’s personality. The royal staff shared with Tina Brown some insights into the King’s private thoughts, which paint a devastating picture.
The Vanity Fair reporter shared: “There will be no whiff of how ‘viscerally,’ I am told, King Charles privately despises his presidential host.”
The King reportedly dislikes the President for many reasons, including his “rude jokes,” his bombshell revelations of state secrets, and his insults to the British Army.
Charles, a polished and refined statesman who speaks several languages and focuses on peace, interfaith dialogue, and the environment, simply does not see the controversial “bull in a china shop” as up to his standards.
