While attending a classroom session with the youth mental health organization Batyr in Melbourne, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about the relentless digital and mediatic hostility she faces.
Markle made it a point to highlight her decade-long struggles online, saying the trauma is ongoing. The duchess stated: “And I can speak to that really personally, which is why I like to listen. Because it rings true for me in a very real way. For now, 10 years, every day for 10 years, I have been bullied and attacked. And I was the most trolled person in the entire world.”

Melania Trump has also uttered that exact same claim in the past, declaring during her time as First Lady that she was the most bullied person in the world due to media backlash.
As for Markle, this is not the first time she has uttered that specific claim. Markle first rolled out this narrative back in October 2020 during her appearance on the Teenager Therapy podcast.
During that interview, the former actress turned businesswoman lamented her public treatment, telling the hosts that the staggering volume of abuse she received over the course of 2019 was “almost unsurvivable.”
When Markle speaks about these bullying allegations, she always gets the same reaction from the media. Critics routinely lash out, calling her completely delusional and vain, and saying she complains entirely too much while living in a multi-million-dollar Montecito mansion.

However, Saturday Night Live (SNL) has put the topic in the spotlight in the most brutal way possible. Not even her harshest critics can deny that she is being vindicated in being targeted, as the mainstream American comedy show has launched a series of humiliating roasts against the Sussexes.
On two separate episodes, Markle was left humiliated and hurt by the savage jokes delivered on live television during the Weekend Update segment.
Co-anchor Colin Jost targeted the couple’s complicated standing by mocking their presence in the United States. Jost delivered the brutal punchline: “President Trump also announced a new trade deal with the U.K. that will reopen British markets for American companies. All that Britain demands in return is that we keep these two.”
The joke immediately flashed a prominent photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on screen, sparking massive roasts from the studio audience.
