At 11, Sofia Sanchez has been through a lot, and Drake has stepped in to tell her she is a hero and to make her smile from ear to ear. Could Justin Bieber visit her soon?
Sofia is a bubbly little girl full of life; she loves to sing and dance while watching her favorite show, Riverdale.
The child celebrated her birthday last week and had two wishes — meet the rapper who did the hit song “God’s Plan” and get a new heart.
Sofia is currently at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois awaiting a heart transplant.
The child suffers from cardiomyopathy, a condition that makes it difficult for her heart to adequately pump blood and can subsequently lead to heart failure.
Despite her health issues, Sofia like the rest of the world, could not resist that “In My Feelings” challenge.
While hooked to an IV, Sofia asked, “Keke, do you love me?” and told Drake she would love to meet him.
After a concert, Drake dropped by with tons of gifts and a few hugs. He applauded her strength and asked her for an autograph.
She was speechless upon seeing the rapper, but at some point, she started screaming with joy.
Drake made her day by singing “God’s Plan” for her. The pair talked about Bieber, basketball, and her favorite shows. The duo posed for selfies and filmed a few videos for Instagram.
In a video, the young fan said it was a dream come true, she thanked the father of one and added: “He’s one of the first wishes I have got in a very long time. I didn’t talk for a minute, I was like “What, is this real?” and he’s like “It’s me, Drake.”‘
Drake, who has a baby boy named Adonis, shared a few pictures with the brave little girl and captioned one: “Me and my love Sofia talking about Bieber and Owls and Basketball???.”
Scooter Braun, who is Bieber’s manager, commented in Drake’s post, and it seems that the pop star could also make a trip to the hospital.
Sofia would be over the moon to meet two of her idols in less than a week.
Fans are praising Drake for his good deeds. One supporter of the Canadian hip-hop star told him: “That big smile on her face, says it all. You made her smile forever brother. You’re the real MVP.The greatest for more than one reason.”
“God bless her. Drake for president. This is why you’re a LEGEND bro. You care about others before yourself,” wrote another fan of music maker.
Drake has been able to bounce back after the Pusha T feud.
