Kelsey Berreth, a missing Colorado mom, looks normal and calm in a new video that was released by the police on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old woman vanished on Thanksgiving Day and her fiancé, Patrick Frazee, is said to be cooperating with the police.
In the footage released by the authorities, Berreth could be seen entering a grocery store with her baby girl, 1-year-old Kaylee, and was shopping happily.
The surveillance footage does not show the young mother leaving the Safeway on November 22.
The case of the missing mother took another shocking twist after a brief text message was sent from her phone after she vanished.
Berreth texted one of the instructors of Doss Aviation, a Colorado Springs flight school, saying that she was taking the next week off.
Police Chief Miles De Young addressed reporters and explained: “After she went missing, she took time off.”
Frazee, via his attorney, Jeremy Loew, told the police that he last saw Berreth on Thanksgiving Day when he picked up little Kaylee.
The lawyer released a statement on his behalf and it read: “Mr. Frazee hopes and prays for Ms. Berreth’s return. Mr. Frazee will continue to cooperate with law enforcement and continue to parent the child he shares with Ms. Berreth. He will not speak to the media about this case, as he does not want to impede law enforcement’s investigation.”
Frazee also received a message from Berreth’s phone on November 25. Berreth’s car and purse have been found at her home.
Berreth’s mother, Cheryl, said she does not believe that she ran off and added: “This is completely out of character. Kelsey loves her dog, she loves her family and friends, and she loves her job. She’s reliable, considerate and honest. She doesn’t run off, and somebody knows where she is.”
Cheryl also begged Berreth to please “call us if you can” and went on to confess that she will never stop searching for her.
