Meghan McCain Says She Cannot Live Without Her Guns In Fiery Defense Of Second Amendment On ‘The View’ — Critics Pounce Over Her Exchange With Joy Behar

Meghan McCain The View Weapons

Meghan McCain made sure that The View came back with a bang and many viewers of the gabfest have made it clear that they do not agree with some her comments.

The new season of the talk show opened with a heated debate about gun control and the Second Amendment. The cohosts were debating the most recent mass shooting in America.

Over the weekend, Seth Aaron Ator went on a shooting spree in Odessa and Midland, Texas and left seven people dead and 22 injured.

The daughter of late Arizona Senator John McCain went back and forth with the other ladies who said it was time for some type of gun legislation.

McCain fought back by saying she cannot live without weapons. The Republican TV personality went on to slam presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke who has been pleading with President Donald Trump to take action.

McCain said: “If you’re going to be a gun-grabber, you don’t get my vote.”

Joy Behar attempted to be the voice of reason by explaining that former Democratic politicians, including Bill Clinton, were able to successfully pass gun control legislation.

McCain passionately defended gun owners by saying: “Democrats, when they’re in office, they do something about guns. So if you keep rooting for Republicans, you’re going to get nothing done.”

McCain went on to say removing certain weapons will lead to riots.

She said: “The AR-15 is by far the most popular gun in America. If you’re talking about…going and taking people’s guns away from them, there’s going to be a lot of violence.”

Behar interjected: “They lived without them for many years during the ban.”

McCain stated that she could not live without guns. She confessed: “I’m not living without guns. It’s just that simple.”

Sunny Hostin asked: “What about living without the assault weapons that are killing our children?”

Many took to social media to either blast or praise McCain for her opinion.

One viewer replied: “Dear God, 22 minutes in and Muggy Meghan is spouting and pouting. Listen hard, child, this time is much like the #MeToo time. You don’t advocate being a proud gun-toting red.neck when innocents were just slaughtered-again. Shut up already. ?”

This anti-gun social media user explained: “Wow!!! Meghan is a ticking time bomb!! She wants to protect her right to have ALL her guns!! Wow, now that’s excessive! Chill honey, they are not toys to collect!!”

A Democrat shared: “Megs clearly does not want to be there. She is grouchy and pouty and squirming in her seat, sipping her mug and basically contributing zero to the discussions. This premiere is flat and uncomfortable to watch. Also, when the picture was being taken, did you hear Whoopi say “smile like you want to be here” to Megan?”

One McCain supporter countered with: “Meghan, I’m so glad you are back on the view this morning! So good to hear your view. Stay strong! I’m with you and your stand! ???.”

Another person said the following: “I love Megan. I’m proud of any woman who stands her ground and tells it as she sees it. We are of different political views, but she has ever right to hers. Stay strong Megan, and you make me proud to be a woman.”

A sixth comment read: “It’s odd to me how people like McCain are obsessed with guns. Find another hobby, shoot a paintball gun! These beloved guns are killing our citizens, HUMAN BEINGS. Lives are more important than your redneck rendezvous In Wyoming. This broad has issues. ? Thank God for the rest of the sane woman on the View!! Meghan must be making money on the side of the NRA! Chill girl ?”

McCain has become an important part of the popular show.
